"Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord..." Romans 1:3-4
"Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; and declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection of the dead."
Rom. 1:3,4
The most awesome truth to consider is God becoming a man. In condescension and humility, the Lord Jesus Christ came to this earth, both as God and Man.
Imagine the distance between the Creator God and the creature man, yet, both were joined together in one. Immortal Spirit joined with dying flesh; the Highest joined with the lowest; Eternal blessedness with perpetual weakness; One who is Self sufficient and Independent joined to that which is totally dependent. It was the very Perfection of God taking on the imperfection of man, except without sin. It was the fullness of God, joined to the emptiness of man. Great is the mystery of Godliness.
How real was this union of the two natures of God and Man in Jesus Christ? So much so that the very blood of the Lord Jesus Christ is called, "the blood of God,"
(Acts 20:28).
Salvation required the Substitute to be so much man as if He were not God, yet, as much God as if He were not man. God could not compromise His Holiness to save sinful creatures. Otherwise, He would have to vacate His throne, and that, He will never do. He killed His Son instead, to satisfy all His righteous requirements that He might be just and justify ungodly sinners.

The Scriptures speaks of trust or faith being the thing that saves us. In and of itself it does no such thing, but it saves us by taking a hold of the One who saves to the uttermost (Heb 7:25). Faith is demanded from the hearer of the gospel, but remember, salvation is not found in our act of believing itself. Salvation is exclusively discovered in the doing and dying of the Lord Jesus, the one who has conquered death and is alive forevermore.
“A man there is, a real man,
With wounds still gaping wide,
From which rich streams of blood once ran,
In hands and feet and side.
This wondrous man of whom we tell;
Is true almighty God;
He bought our souls from death and hell;
The price, ----His own heart's blood.
Salvation is never given as a reward for believing, rather it is the one believed upon who alone is our salvation.

God Does Not See Our Sin
"Noah planted a vineyard: and he drank of the wine, and was drunk; and he was naked in his tent" –
Genesis 9:20-21
Some condition for Noah, the only righteous man, the preacher of righteousness, to be found in! BUTWHAT IS MAN? Look at him where you will, and you will see failure - in the garden of paradise, he fails; in the church, he fails; he fails everywhere and in all things. His true name is not MISTAKE, but FAILURE. His advantages are great, his privileges are great; but he can only display failure and sin because there is no good thing in him. "Noah was a just man and perfect in his generation, and Noah walked with God"(Genesis 6:9). Grace had covered all his sins and clothed his person with a spotless robe of righteousness. Noah displayed and exposed nakedness, but God did not see it; for He looked not at Noah in the weakness of his condition, but in the full power of Christ's divine and everlasting righteousness. "We may have boldness in the Day of Judgment, becauseAS HE IS, SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD"(I John 4:17)
