Our 2 Fall adult SS classes-"Faithful Men Teaching Others" taught by Pastor Starr and the "Ladies Marathon Class-becoming a great woman for God" organized by Mrs. Starr were a great success and well attended. Pastor Bill Hardecker's auditorium class on "How to Study Your Bible" was also a success. In November we heard from guest speakers Evangelist Dan Stroup and Missionary Peter Heisey to the Romanian Gypsies. Fourteen of our teens traveled with sponsors to Fairhaven Baptist College's Empowered Youth Conference in Indiana. Three of our youth placed in their platform skill competition: first in female vocal solo (Rebecca Buckmaster received a Scholarship), first in Piano (Hanna Sweitzer), and third in preaching (Paul Sweitzer). Our Home Schoolers had their annual Spelling Bee and Speech Day. Our youth engaged in Bible quizzing over James 1-4 with four other churches. Our bi-annual "4-men preach" night was a great success. We currently have 11 students at Christian colleges: 4 at Pensacola Christian College, 3 at Ambassador Baptist College in NC, one each at Maranatha (Elkton MD), West Coast BC, Fairhaven, and New England Baptist College in CT. The Red Lion High School confirmed that we can have the The CIA Club (High School Bible Study) in Red Lion High School again this year. CIA Club is held on both A & B Weeks every other Tuesday during club hour at 11:45 in room B209. Call our office at 927-9227 ext 2 or ask for Pastor Chris. See our home page for a thumbnail of our upcoming "Calendar and Events." You can view some of our calendar for the next three months when you click on the "News & Events" tab at the top right. Mt. Zion is a best described as a place of vision and fresh starts where YOU can jumpstart your relationship with the Lord, grow in your knowledge of the Bible, find a place to serve, and meet many new friends. Your whole family will find a variety of opportunities and ministries. We make no apologies for being known as an evangelistic, discipling, loving Bible preaching church that believes in taking a stand. Isn't it time for you to return to … "Church the way it used to be"?
