I would like to make three short requests.

• Liz will be seeing the urologist Monday after she has an x-ray to see if the stone that was treated is gone. She had a lithotripsy treatment and we were told that it takes up to 2 weeks to know if the stone is broken. Last Sunday night we had special prayer and anointed Liz (James 5:16) She began feeling some lower front and back pain, especially on the right, which resembled pain she had with other stones. We are praying that this is an indication that the first stone is broken, but perhaps the fragments are blocked by the second stone which is lower in the ureter. If so, then we would pray that a second lithotripsy would be successful with the other stone, and that shortly after that the nephrostomy tube could be safely removed. We are scheduled to depart on August 3^rd.
• Gwatoes Palata had surgery yesterday. After nearly six weeks, there was virtually no healing in his humerus (upper arm) which was shattered into 5 pieces. One piece had disappeared. The doctor was able to put in a plate and screws connecting the other pieces, and took some bone chips from the elbow area to fill in the missing piece of bone. We pray for healing, and that he would get the necessary funds to be able to go to Holland for a prosthesis.
• The building project is going well at Sunny Point. We have funds which should allow us to reach the roof area, but not beyond that. Please pray for the Lord to provide funds in His time so that this project can be completed.

Further information: The Advanced Bible Institute is finished for the year except for the final exam. (The regular Bible Institute still has a month to go). The government elections resulted in another party taking over. The Bush Negro coalition will be working with them in forming the new government. We pray for stability, peace, the gospel to go forward, and for God’s blessing on Suriname.
