We are still staying in the apartment in the church (Casal di Principe) here in the Naples area. It's pretty basic here with no phone or internet, although my German cell phone works intermittantly - (about 70 cents a minute). Right now I'm at the Naval Support Activity, Naples base library and using the wifi. My car has a left rear suspension/wheel bearing problem and is presently in the shop being fixed, so I may be walking, bumming rides, and taxiing for a few days; we'll get back to the church apartment somehow tonight.

We've had good services for the last three weeks, since Linda and I have been here. A fine Christian missionary group mailed some really nice Bibles to us , and I've been able to provide each of our African refugees with a nice Bible; there's just one left. I have to tell you - they are truly appreciative of those bibles too.

May Our Lord richly bless you folks for sending them; my what a great benefit!

It is interesting that I am the only white male left in the church right now. Last Tuesday the one civilian American Government employee left for several weeks in Bahrain to work there concerning some new facilities. This past Saturday, the LtCmdr just left for school in Norfolk, and he'll be gone for 6 to 7 weeks. And, the 2nd Class Petty Officer who dedicated his daughter this past Sunday leaves for Bahrain tomorrow - Tuesday, the 23rd of Feb. - and wont be back until August sometime; well, we have their wives and children!

Linda and I have found a house about 20 to 25 minutes from the Church building in the town of Lago Patria. We should be able to move in around the first of April. It's got fruit trees around the house! It's smaller and more expensive that what we had in Germany, but that's the way it is with just about everything here in Italy. It's a really nice place for us though. I don't have a phone there as of yet, but the address will be,

Next week Linda and I will head back up through the Alps via the Brenner Pass to Germany (weather permitting). We will endeavor to sell most of our things, do our final pack out and move from our house in Germany. We need all the help that we can get! Please keep us in mind!
