Update from Kenya -- via the US
It is hard to believe we have been back in the states now for almost one month. Time sure does fly when you are having fun! Well I guess fun is probably not the best way to describe furlough. It is enjoyable to see those who have been praying for us along with meeting new people who will begin adding their prayers to the many that have been said for us through the years. But, being away from Kenya is not fun at all.We have been on the road now for two weeks and will not get back to our home area of Cleveland, Ohio until a couple days before Thanksgiving. God has given us some good meetings thus far and we look forward to what he will do in the coming days. Currently we are in a conference in Custer, South Dakota at the Bible Believers Baptist Church, Pastor Matt Furse.
We received an unwelcome surprise this morning, two inches of snow. Elizabeth and Stephen thought it was great, the rest of us were not to thrilled about it. I hope it is not an early warning of what is coming all winter.
We have received good reports from the ministries in Kenya and the DRC. God has given us some great national believers who carry the workload quite well in our absence. I am so thankful that through the years we have literally become co-labourers with our Kenyan brethren. It makes furlough time much more bearable knowing that everything in Kenya has been left in capable hands.
