Hello again. Things are moving steadily along here in Mongolia. We had very good services all this week. On Thursday nights I am teaching on money and how God expects us to deal with it. My prayer is that the church members will let the Bible lead them in every issue and decision even financial ones.
Let me tell you about a few people we have been dealing with in the last few weeks. The first is a young man who started coming to church about three weeks ago. He has been influenced by Mormon missionaries and is seeking truth. The Mormon's have been calling him David even though that is not his name. Pray that as he hears the truth of Gods Word, his eyes will be opened and his heart receptive to the truth.
The second is the daughter of my translator. Her name is Javhlan. She is going into her fourth year at the university and has become very convicted in the past few days concerning salvation. I talked with her Friday night and she knows her need and sees how God has worked in her mother's life but continues to say "not now, later."
Another person to pray for is a woman we just met last week. She came to the morning service very upset about how she is 8 months pregnant and her "Christian" boyfriend wants her to get an abortion. She came back to the evening service and I talked with her for quite a while. It turns out her boyfriend is a member of a Charismatic church in town and since she isn't a Christian refuses to marry her and demands she kill her baby. Yesterday she finished the second of four salvation lessons. Please be praying that she sees her greatest need isn't money, or a home, or a good husband, but to be saved from sin and the penalty of it.
As always be praying for the regular church members to remain strong and to grow. God seems to be working in many of their lives and that is truly exciting.
