Dear Praying Friends,

It has been my concern these last few months before our furlough to see some real Christian growth among our people. It was encouraging to me that another man, David, the military brother of Gabriel, the soldier, came out to soulwinning. Gabriel himself has come out as well. A woman that was saved after a car accident has expressed the desire to go out soulwinning as soon as her leg heals. Both Gabriel and his brother David came out early before Saturday evening prayer meeting to help clean up for Sunday morning. We have been painting the drywall we put up in our meeting place. We are putting in a wood floor and new lights this week and a french door/window combination at our entrance this coming week. The unsaved guard of our building, Raymundo, even sat in on our prayer meeting as the men have been witnessing to him.

More ladies are wearing dresses in the church services who hadn't, but the percentage stays about the same as we see new women coming into the church that will need to be taught. We had another good Sunday where I preached the second half of my message on active members and more made decisions to become members including Martin, one of our new men; others to be baptized. Last Thursday we had more of an extended family that is starting to attend on Thursdays. They are two men, two women, and their mother. Theyare Presbyterian.

Monday, we finally received notice that the government has recognized our church as a mission. We can now pass out tracts with our name and put up a sign. The following night, Tuesday, we went out knocking doors for the first time since September and the second man I spoke to, Martin, received Christ and wants to bring his family on Sunday. He was very open. Sam was also able to sit down with a couple of men who invited him into their business to talk to them about the Bible. We hope they come out to church this Sunday as well.

Yesterday I preached the funeral of the saved sister of a woman in our church. A teenager girl and a woman named Marisa, a friend of the family, made decisions to trust Christ. Marisa said that she did not believe in any religion and I replied, "That is good. You started out right by believing in Christ, instead." Please pray that she begins to practice the true religion that is undefiled.
