COVERED BY HIS PERFECTION
In another's holiness we stand and are justified. All charges brought against us because of unrighteousness, we answer by pointing to our Lord Jesus Christ and THE PERFECTION OF HIS OBEDIENCE.
DELIVERED BY HIS PERFECTION, we have no fear of wrath, now or hereafter. We cry, "O God, look upon the face of your anointed. Look not on me for the ground of salvation, but on my Substitute; deal not with me personally for sin, but my sin-bearer." COVERED BY HIS PERFECTION, we are at peace. "Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect?" Christ is our refuge from the storm, our covert from the tempest. BEAUTIFIED WITH HIS PERFECTION, we are accepted and find favor in God's sight. His eye rests upon the beauty which He has put upon us. As He did at viewing the first creation, so now, in looking at us clothed with divine excellency, He says, "It is GOOD." Every time we say, "For Christ's sake," we are making use of another's claim, another's merit, and rejoicing in the doctrine of IMPUTED RIGHTEOUSNESS!

God's love for us is in Christ; God's choice of us is in Christ; God's righteousness is fulfilled for us in Christ; God's acceptance of us is in Christ. This is all our salvation -- not our works, feelings, nor our righteousnesses. "My God, when I approach Thy throne and all Thy glory see, this is my stay and this alone, that Christ Jesus died for me." ---copied
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
- 2 Corinthians 4:6
God's attributes are His glory, and His glory is revealed in its fullest in Christ who is the brightness of God's glory (Heb. 1:3). God's attributes are revealed to sinners savingly when we see how God can be just to justify the ungodly based on the righteousness of Christ. We see that the main issue in salvation is the glory of God (the revelation and honor of all His attributes). The main issue in the glory of God is the righteousness of Christ (the merit of His obedience and death that enables God to be both a just God and a Savior). This is how the glory of God is revealed in the face (the Person) of the Lord Jesus Christ. And God is glorified in the hearts of sinners when they come to see that Christ's righteousness alone entitles them to all the benefits, blessings, and glory of eternal life and Heaven. This is where we begin to worship God in His glory, and this is where we begin to exalt Christ our Savior and Lord.
Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
- Isaiah 45:22
Here we have an absolute and unconditional promise from a sovereign, powerful, merciful, and gracious God. This is a promise of eternal salvation given in light of the fact that God is faithful to save sinners based on His free, unmerited favor. This is revealed in His purpose to save sinners, to justify the ungodly, conditioned, not on the sinner, but on a God-sent Substitute. The only Substitute sent of God is God's only-begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, who alone is able to satisfy God's law and justice on their behalf. Sinners, active idolaters, are commanded to believe God's promise of salvation conditioned on Christ alone, and to repent of ever thinking that anything but His righteousness could ever recommend them unto God or entitle them to any part of Heaven. This is how we look unto God, the God who justifies sinners based on the righteousness of Christ.
