Greetings from the Truitts in Germany

Greetings in Jesus' Name from Germany,

We took the day off today. Linda and I went from our town of Herrieden to two old German cities, Rothenburg (22 miles WNW), and Dinklesbuhl (25 miles SW). The weather was very cool, wet, and blustery, but we just needed a day of rest and relaxation. In Rothenburg we met up with some good missionary friends Roy and Ellen Smith but just went by ourselves to Dinkelsbuhl. We did some last minute Christmas shopping, and had a couple nice meals. I love it when just my sweetheart and I can go out like that. We've been married now for over 40 years, and it seems like it's always been that way. I love this lady!

Oh, by the way, the church is going strong since we got back on the field at the beginning of the month. We've had baptisms two different times already since our return from furlough, the first saw four soul baptized, and the second one was last Sunday when Jonathon Becker (led to Christ by his mother a few weeks ago) was baptized. I had baptized his German mother, Melanie, this past July 10th. Jonathan's daddy is a soldier, and they are all leaving for a new duty station in Virginia during January, and we shall greatly miss them.

There were only 23 in attendance yesterday the 21st of December, but I still feel good about it as several of our folks have left for the States for the Christmas, and New Year's Holidays.

God Bless you all, and have a truly Merry Christmas!
