In the Old Testament God Almighty killed the first animal to cover Adam and Eve's nakedness. This pictured the LORD Jesus Christ having to die to provide a perfect robe of righteousness to be accepted by God.
Not long after that God commanded animal sacrifices as part of the ceremonial Law of the Old Covenant. Over those years of required animal sacrifice billions of blood ran out of the lifeless, slaughtered, innocent animals to be a foreshadowing type and picture of Christ, the final sacrifice.
Many people to who would much rather slaughter babies by the millions (over 50 million since the 1970's) would have you arrested and jailed if one hair on a puppy dog's head. Many of these same people would prefer animal's rights to God's right as Divine Creator and Sovereign Ruler of the Universe.
God uses His creation for His own wise purpose to bring glory to His name. He does this as it pleases Him. He does not ask anyone's permission. He kills and He makes alive, He wounds and He heals. He has the right as God to have mercy on who He wants and harden who He wants, to love who He wants and hate who He wants (Rom 9:11-25).
Most will hate this God all the way up to Judgment Day to hear the words, "Depart from me you who work lawlessness. I NEVER knew you." The LORD is out of control, your control and my control. If He were in our control or was required to submit to your will He would not be God.
The religion of today propagated in most churches is a false gospel with a god who is comparable to a weasel. Man spits out a message of will-worship that claims God's hands are tied unless you let Him save you. They say Christ has done all He can do and now the rest is up to you. They say God voted for you, the Devil voted against you and now it is up to you to cast the deciding vote.
Wow, poor god! Looks like that god is out of hard drive space and needs an upgrade. How foolish the world is in their humanistic view of God Almighty.! In one place in the Old Testament God said to the people, "You thought I was altogether like yourself." Most have this type god of their imagination, an idol of their own mind.
The God of the Bible is in absolute and complete control of all things without exception and sovereignly upholds the world by the word of His power. None can stop Him or question Him with any authority. He demands submission. He commands repentance (a change of mind). He will not settle for 2nd place. He is the only God and MUST be worshiped. This is the God that Oprah boldly hates, the God who is jealous for His own glory.
Are you the kind of person who says it is not fair for God to express His glory by the use of animal sacrifice? You think it unfair for God to chose some people and exclude others in His plan of redemption?Has He caused you to agree with Him by giving you both faith and repentance? Has He given you the mind of Christ? Do you know Him? Trust Him and rest in His Son's righteousness for eternal safety.
