More from Anniversary Sunday

Dear praying friends,

Tuesday, I failed to ask you to pray for Evelyn, who attended our Anniversary Sunday. She has come a couple of times before. From the Ivory Coast, Africa, she lives with her older sister who works in the country's embassy. Pray that we will see her saved as well as her sister and family.

Pray, also, for a woman named Adela, who came for the first time this Sunday. She teaches catechism in the local Catholic church here. The Catholic church is much aware of our presence as we are in our second sweep of going to every door in the community. They are even now going door to door following our example. The people in our church say they have never done that before. I personally know one of the ladies involved in thier canvassing, as well as John Fulda, a psychologist who teaches their youth there (Juan has also visited our church a few times).

In my hands I have a copy of their hastily put together literature which has their times of services, names of pastors, etc.; as if they are the new church in town. On their literature, it has as one of their objectives of their new project: get the parrochial closer to the houses (they even had a mass the other day in an apartment complex's basketball court); another is comunicate our faith (as if they are in the mission field). Two of the questions in their questionaire is telling. If you have changed religions, why? and if you no longer attend the parrochial, why?

Certainly they are feeling the heat of competition even though we are the only evangelical church in the area. Please continue to pray for us as we continue in our attempt to turn this community "upside down" for Christ.

Sincerely,
Clint Rardin
