God continues to bless the aftermath of the fall's campaign with some of our best Sunday morning attendances and many new families: a man named José Alfonso; a new military couple, Juan Carlos and Andrea; three adult brothers -- Moises, Victor, Enesto, his wife and chldren, and their mother Graciela; an older man, Jesús; Josefina, her daughter, Maria Teresa (who was saved during the campaign) and Maria Teresa´s daughter; as well as René and his teenage children; all continuing to attend. A month after our first anniversary; our church has 85 people who attend regulary; if only they would all attend at the same time. Still, our average attendances are rising.
Pray for our first Christmas Banquet on the 18th. Lidia, a lady who attends our church has a daughter who is a concert violinist and will be playing 14 pieces of traditional Christmas music with her friend, a concert pianist. We having printed 100 first-rate invitation cards to be given to select unsaved for whom we, as members, are praying. I have about 30 people I want to invite and we are asking our people to think of at least one family who they would really like to see saved and give an invitation. Pray for the salvation message that it be precise and powerful.
Maru, Lidia's daughter, and her friend who will be performing for us started their musical training in a children's city orchestra. We enrolled our children in it and Joseph will be learning the trumpet and Kellie the violin. They loan the instruments free of charge and charge a phenomenly low price for the training, since there are so few Mexicans that take advantage of it and since it is funded by the city's cultural arts program. Tonight we go to see one of the orquestra´s performances. It is just another step towards our school orquestra we plan to begin during our very first year of our Christian School next year.
Josué, the young music director of our old church, came back from the week of intensive training on band-directing excited and full of knowledge and ideas with an enthusiasm to put them into practice. He will be going to two more 48-hour sessions next April and August.
Please continue to pray that God will provide for the roof of the Christian School. We are excited about beginning the school. We have teachers, parents, and students waiting; we have 100 desks; I continue to study my Master's in Christian Education, (which I should finish next summer), excited to put into practice the great principles and ideas that I have learned; we just are lacking a building. Please seriously pray. We need 2,180 dollars to put up the beams to hold the roof and about another $6,500 to put on the roof itself.
We were excited that Alberto, a teenager has been coming out to our Tuesday evening soulwinning. His mom has been joining us later in the evening when we have our prayer meetings for revival that we have been holding since September. At the begiining of the year, we plan to begin a Saturday morning soulwinning time as well as we have a couple of new ladies with experience soulwinning who can only go out on Saturday's. We will then have, Lord willing, ten people going out soulwining from our little church every week.
Please continue to pray for us as your prayers result in great things happening in at Liberty Baptist Church.
