Dear Praying Friends,

This weekend of blessings began with a visit to Alejandro's house, the man from our neighborhood who I lead to the Lord last month. Alejandro was not home and it turns out, as he is getting married next month, that he has bought a home over two hours away where he is going to start a business.

I was able to witness to his father and mother, though. Sergio does not believe in anything including the Bible, but Maria Elena is very Catholic and knows a lot of Scripture. She says that she believes salvation is only by faith, and that works do not save, but is only a result of the gratitude we have for our salvation by faith. But faith in who? That is where we differ. She believes that the virgin Mary is just as divine as Christ. Alejandro's parents are very open to discussion. Please pray that we will see them saved in time.

Sunday was a day of blessings. Although we saw no one saved, we had several first-time visitors. Paola, a lady who came for the first time last week, brought her two siblings and her mother. Her mother was dealt with for assurance of her salvation as she had raised her hand in the service. Andriana, the wife of the Buddhist, was able to bring four of her daughters for the first time. Their father Ernesto`s coming to the church picnic helped him get to know us and allow his daughters to come.

Please pray for Flavio, a retired major in the army who has been with us since the first Sunday of our church. He attends with his wife, a retired captain and army nurse, but he is still not saved; although we have witnessed to him a number of times and he has heard the gospel preached over and over again. Although he has a bad heart, he has said that he is not worried about dying.

The message this Sunday, though, seemed to hit home as a couple true illustrations were given of seemingly healthy men who suddenly died of heart failure without accepting Christ. During the invitation, I could see the conviction on Flavio's face, but he must make the decision to come forward and it must be real.

We have two more Sundays of the campaign and two more salvation messages. Please pray that this month be the month of his salvation.

Please pray for some people I have invited for this Sunday that they may come and be saved. They include Daniel the older brother of the teenage girl, Susy, saved two Sundays ago; Gerado and Isabel, a lieutenant and his wife, whose kids have come several times to church lately; Enrique and Erica, a middle-aged couple who came to our couple's banquet two months ago; and Rene, whose three children were saved in our church this year.

Last of all, please pray this week as I have been invited to preach along with other pastors in a three-day anniversary celebration of a church in the mountains of Oaxaca. It is a church started by a Mexican missionary and where Gaspar, a member of our church, is from as well as members of our old church in Izcalli. They always have unsaved people come from the surrounding villages and we are trusting in God to see some saved.

Thank you for your prayers. So far the building project is going well and we are staying in budget. Please continue to pray that God provides for the plaster, paint, and tile by the end of June.

Sincerely,
Clint Rardin
