Arann Reformed Baptist Fellowship
Points for Prayer
September 2008
---------------------------------------
Dear Friends,
Some of you have been asking me to put together a regular news/prayer letter so that you can keep up to date with things in Ballinteer. The main reason I have not done this to date is my fear of bad grammer/spelling so on. With that confession done with I will proceed to do what you have asked. I am assuming that all who I send this to will have an interest in the work. If not let me know and I will remove you from the list.
We have been meeting together on the Lord's day since May 07. So we are approching a year and a half. Our main meetings are Wednesday evenings and Lord's day mornings each week and Sunday evenings every other week.
On wednesdays we are going through the 1689 Baptist confession of Faith. Chapter 26 on the church has been a real help! On the Lord's day we are going through 2 Peter. You can find these sermons on:
www.sermonaudio.com/arann
At our first conference this year the speaker was Pastor Malcolm Watts of Salisbury. It was such a helpful time of teaching and exhortation. You can find these messages also on the Sermon Audio site.
Specific points for prayer
Remember:
1. Our first fellowship weekend this October.
Pray with us that this will be a time of growing in faith and commitment to Christ and each other.
2. Kevin Larkin.
Who is in hospital undergoing treatment for Cancer.
3. Outreach.
We recently printed a new tract. Pray as we distribute 5000 copies in the next few weeks.
4. Families of the fellowship
At the moment we have seven housholds represented in regular fellowship. Please lift these up before the throne of grace in your prayers.
5. Constitution
We hope, God willing, to constitute as a Church in the new year.
6. Personal
Some of the fellowship have asked for prayer in relation to recent trials they are experiencing. Please keep this in mind in a special way.
7. Finance
It is our desire to produce the best materials possible in order to reach out to the community. Our recent tract cost 350 Euro. The giving of the Assembly has been an encouragement. As our Lord said:
"For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also" Matthew 6:21
8. Praying
That God would make us a praying Assembly. Prayer is the engine room of the Church, as Spurgeon said.
Well thats all I can think of for now.
It would be good to hear back from you and answer any questions you might have.
In Christ's service,
Mark Fitzpatrick
