In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel. In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion. There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah. Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey. Psalm 76 :1-4

WHY THE ELECT LOVE ELECTION The elect love election! That is a fact. When they were unregenerate they had no love for or understanding of election. But when God saves them they become lovers of this holy Truth. Here are two reasons why they love election.
1). Because they love the God of election. Election gives God all the glory in salvation, and that is the heart desire of every believer.
2). Election teaches that God's salvation is all of grace, and that gives hope to helpless sinners. The elect know enough about their sin to know that if God did not choose them, they could not have possibly been saved. Election gives Christ all the glory in salvation and declares a salvation that is all of grace. That is why the elect love election. Thank God for election! Pastor Todd Nibert
CHRIST JESUS MADE A LITTLE LOWER THAN THE ANGELS In Hebrews 2:10, the apostle gives a reason why the Lord Jesus was "made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death." He declares that, "it became Him," that is, it was suitable and proper to every attribute of the character of God the Father. The "bringing of many sons to glory" (not merely making it possible or starting them on the way) by the humiliation, sufferings and death of the Lord Jesus is agreeable to His sovereignty, wisdom, holiness, justice, righteousness, love, mercy and grace. No attribute of God suffers loss or is diminished by the exercise of any other attribute in the salvation of His elect by the appointed Saviour and mediator, "the Captain of our salvation," but rather, every attribute of God is honored and glorified (Psa. 85:10; Rom. 3:25-26). Pastor Charles Pennington
WORSHIP GOD IN THE SPIRIT Philippians 3:3 To worship God in the spirit is to worship without the use of idolatrous images and rituals. It is a heart worship of the living God. Yet, it is much more than that. It is worshipping God in the power of and under the influence of the Holy Spirit. True worship is born in the heart by the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit speaks to us through the Word of God, revealing Christ in us; and He causes us to worship God. It is the Spirit of Christ in the heart that produces all characteristics of true worship: humility, faith, repentance, submission, adoration, and obedience to God. Pastor Don Fortner
WHAT IS IT TO WAIT UPON GOD? To wait upon God means I cannot see the way out of this difficulty, but I SHALL see it. I do not yet perceive God's plan for my deliverance, but I shall be delivered. I do not know how bread shall be given me, but I shall have it even if God has to send ravens with it or rend heaven itself in twain. I shall have His promise fulfilled, and I shall wait His time. C. H. Spurgeon
CARNALLY MINDED OR SPIRITUALLY MINDED For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace (Rom. 8:5-6).
Paul in these God-inspired words draws a sharp contrast between believers in Christ and no condemnation (Rom. 8:1) and unbelievers condemned in their sins. These two distinctions divide the whole human race in two groups, those justified in Christ (Rom. 3:24) and those condemned in Adam and spiritually dead in sin (Rom. 5:12). The description of the, "carnally minded" is death and eternal condemnation. They are described as those that have no faith in Christ, but rather trusting themselves that they are righteous (Luke 16:15; 18:9). The carnal mind is described as those who are at, "enmity against God" (Rom. 8:7), described as those who cannot satisfy the holy law of God (Rom. 3:19), described as those that, "cannot please God" (Rom. 8:8).
However, the description of the "spiritually minded" is much different, "to be spiritually minded is life and peace" in Christ Jesus (Col. 1:20-21). Described as sinners, "who walk after the spirit" are those quickened together with Christ (Eph. 2:1-6; 2Cor. 5:17; 2Pet. 1:4). They are described as those that see all of their salvation accomplished by Christ (Rom. 5:8-9; 5:9-21; 8:3), who have righteousness fulfilled in them by Christ, (Rom.4:6 8:4), who live by faith in Christ (Rom. 3:28) and in Christ are well pleasing unto God (Eph. 1:6; Heb. 11:6). Those who are reconciled to God in Christ are no longer at enmity, nor against God (2Cor. 5:17-21), but have submitted themselves unto God (Rom. 10:3-4) and who have the Spirit of Christ dwelling in them (John 16:13-15; Rom. 8:9-10; Col. 1:27).
Now you can plainly see the vast difference between those who, "walk after the flesh" and those who, "walk after the spirit." Now the important question of the moment is this, which way are you walking? By faith or flesh, by grace or works, mercy or merit, propitiation or pride, Christ or ceremony, truth or tradition, redemption or ritual, righteousness established by Christ or religion established by man! To walk in the flesh is death (Proverbs 14:12). To walk in the Spirit is life and peace in Christ (Rom. 1:16-17). "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God" (Rom. 8:14).
