The Lord God appointed this time for Tabitha to die at the same time that he had brought Peter nearby in Lydda in order to declare the truth of Christ. The Lord Jesus had raised Lazarus from the dead before his crucifixion. Tabitha was the first person he raised from the dead after his crucifixion. From this we learn that he is raised from the dead and is both Lord and Christ. If we shall be raised to faith in Christ, preserved in Christ, and eventually raised to be with Christ in glory, then it will be by the King of glory whose dominion and power is in heaven and earth. There is no other Way.
