Thought For The Week:
"With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh let me not wander from Your commandments." Psalm 119:10
Prayer For The Church:
Please pray that through God's grace the weekly prayer meeting will increasingly become the powerhouse of the week's ministry.
Pray for Ruth, Mona as they seek employment.
Prayer For The Local Area:
Southend is the church on our prayer Diary for the coming week. The church would welcome prayer for a work of grace in the hearts of parents and children attending the Coffee and Kids group.
Prayer For The Wider Area:
AEM Prayer Update
June 2008
PLEASE PRAY FOR:
Kosova
For the unresolved political situation in Kosova. Pray for the peace of this troubled community and a more stable future.
For the means to build a Christian centre on land owned by the believers in Prishtina.
Such a building would accommodate the regular meetings of the ‘Messiah' fellowship with their existing bookshop. It would also provide a venue for conferences and bible-teaching seminars which will serve the whole of Kosova.
For the ‘Ringjallja' fellowship in Gjilan and particularly for Naim Bllaca, working there as an evangelist with AEM's support.
Albania
For Geni Dogani in Memaliaj and particularly for encouragements to counteract the loss of young believers from the fellowship as they seek work elsewhere. Also for Alma and the work amongst children in the town.
For the progress of camp preparations and that God will overrule as boys and girls decide to sign up for the camps.
For the students who have been attending the Gjirokastër church who are coming to the end of their courses. Pray that they will continue to grow as Christians, even if they are away from the fellowship at Gjirokastër.
For the literature ministry. It is generally accepted in Albania that good Christian literature is still in short supply. Every effort is made to secure the translation and preparation of helpful material but the process is slow and not inexpensive.
Recently, sales of AEM titles have seen some decline. Pray that God would guide the choice of books and lead the work of distribution. Pray too for an appetite amongst Albanian believers for sound ministry in this form.
Macedonia
For Niko and Monda Treska who have completed their training and preparation for the work they hope to do in Skopje. Pray for the church in Korçë as they prepare to ‘send them out' and for Niko and Monda's practical arrangements as they set up a permanent home in Macedonia.
