WHAT A NAME!

Philippians 2: 9: Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11: And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

God hath given his Son, Jesus, a name which is above every name. Greater than every unregenerate God-hating king who ever sat upon an earthly throne is this name. Higher than every God-hating scribe who ever "lorded" his temporary authority over a people upon this earth is this name. Each regenerate saint whom he has made kings and priests unto God willingly, delightfully, bow and confess the greatness of this name. But at last in that great and notable day of the Lord, every one, even the God-hating kings and lords of this earth, shall bend the knee at the announcement of the blessed and only Potentate. Then every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Just as his shall be the only name worth mentioning in that day, if he has made himself Lord in you, even so it is now!
