O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph. For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth. He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet. He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah. Psalm 47:1-4
ENTER INTO HIS REST!
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27).
Troubled soul, listen to the Holy Spirit and not to your doubts! "His Spirit beareth witness with our spirit that we are the children of God" (Rom. 8:16). All of our trouble since the Garden of Eden has come from listening to the wrong voice. It is time that every believer tuned out the voices of Satan, doubt, fear, and every enemy of the grace of Christ and began to listen to Him Who speaks peace to the troubled heart. "My peace I give unto you; let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." Cease from your works, from your efforts to establish a righteousness, from your desire to find some good in this flesh. ENTER INTO HIS REST (Matt. 11:28)!

STRANGE BUT TRUE
When the true gospel is preached, those lost in religion and in the world will accuse those who preach it of speaking strange things. I have been accused of that many times. Sadly, the Gospel is “strange doctrine” to those who don’t know God. When Paul preached the gospel on Mar’s Hill in Athens to those overly religious (superstitious) men, they said, “Thou bringest strange things to our ears, we would know therefore what these things mean.” (Acts 17:20) They said of Paul, “He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection.” (Acts 17:18) You tell folks the truth about God and they will claim that you set forth strange gods.
I’m sure that it is strange to most that God does not love everybody, and Christ did not die for everybody, and the Holy Spirit does not call and draw everyone to be saved, only those whom God chose and gave to Christ before the foundation of the world. (Ephesians 1:4) I suppose it is strange to the unbeliever that God, in the person of Jesus Christ, would come into the world to save undeserving sinners by dying the just for the unjust to bring them to God. (1 Timothy 1:15, 1 Peter 3:18) To me this gives strong proof to that old saying that I have often heard, “strange but true.” Pastor David Eddmenson
Preacher Worship
We must guard ourselves against Preacher Worship. Let us never be more taken up with the messenger than Christ who is their message. God has sent His Preachers into the world to preach the unsearchable riches of Christ. We love them, we esteem them highly in love for their work’s sake (I Thess. 5:13) but let us beware of creature worship, which we are prone to. I Corinthians 1:1-13;“Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?” Revelation 22:9; “Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.”

WHAT THINK YE OF CHRIST?
The religious and self-righteous Pharisees surrounded the Lord on this occasion with malice in their heart to destroy Him. We read in Matt. 22:15, “They took counsel how they might entangle Him in His talk.” The religious came at Him with many needless and unnecessary questions about religion and politics (Matt. 22:17), about future events (Matt. 22:25-28) and about the law of God (Matt. 22:36). The Lord Jesus Christ put them all to silence with this one heart searching and all important question, "What think ye of Christ?" I trust that every one of us will seriously ponder this question and ask our sovereign Lord to give us honest and scriptural thoughts of Him. So then, what do you really think of the Lord Jesus Christ? Consider these things about Him:
1). What do you think of the Lord Jesus Christ in His blessed person? Can you say with Thomas, “He is my Lord and my God” (John 20:28)? The believer trusts His soul salvation to the very one who is God Almighty manifested in the flesh (2 Tim. 3:16). Our Lord had to become one with us in order to identify with our problem and provide the remedy (Heb. 2:14-17).
2). What do you think of the Lord Jesus Christ in His priestly work? Our Lord Jesus Christ was anointed and appointed as the only Mediator (1 Tim. 2:5) and High Priest (Heb. 4:14) for all those that believe on Him. As the believers representative before God, He brought sufficient and eternal sacrifice unto God to make atonement for the sin of His people (Heb. 9:12). This was not an attempt to put away sin, His precious blood actually put away all the sin of His people and secured their salvation (Matt. 1:21).
3). What do you think of the grace of Lord Jesus Christ? While Paul was undergoing trials and burdens he was given this precious promise from the Lord that His grace was sufficient for us (2 Cor. 12:9). His grace is sufficient to save and to justify (Rom. 3:24). His grace is sufficient to sustain and protect us during difficult times (Acts 4:33). His grace is sufficient to keep us from being lifted up with pride (Rom. 12:3). His grace is sufficient to call us from spiritual death to eternal life (1 Peter 5:10). His grace in and through Jesus Christ will meet all our need (Acts 15:11).
4). What do you think of the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ? God has so ordained the salvation of sinners that the Lord Jesus Christ should properly receive all the glory for so great salvation (1Cor. 1:30-31). The believer truly loves the glory of His Lord. We love to glory in His mercy to the undeserving (Titus 3:5). We love to glory in His forgiveness to the guilty (Rom. 5:6). "Not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake" (Psalm 115:1).
