Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.
Psalm 35:27-28
Five Reasons For A Sinner To Hope For Mercy
1. HIS NATURE is to show mercy! God is love. He must be merciful to some because as He is holy, He is love (1 John 4:16).
2. HIS DESIRE is to show mercy! "He delights to show mercy." (Micah 7:18).
3. HIS GLORY is to show mercy! When Moses asked to see His glory, He said, "I will be merciful." (Exodus 33:18-19).
4. HIS NAME is the mercy-giver! JESUS means; “Saviour, Deliverer" or "He will save" (Matt. 1:21).
5. HIS CALL is to mercy! "Come, and I will give
you rest." (Matt. 11:28).

YES, LORD - TRUTH, LORD
I have often heard that salvation involves a sinner taking sides with God against themselves. That is exactly what the Syrophenician woman did. After ignoring her and hearing the pleading of the apostles to send her away, the Lord Jesus said, “It is not meet (fit, right) to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.” If the Lord had said that to you, would you have been offended? Would you have been angered? Or would you have taken sides with God against yourself as the poor woman did?
Dear reader, would you agree that you are a dead-dog sinner? Would you have answered, “Yea Lord, truth Lord, a dog is what I am, yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.” (Mark 7:28) You, who are yet without Christ, take your place under the Master’s Table, for from it falls the Bread of Life, and even His crumbs of mercy are more than sufficient to save dead-dog sinners such as we are. What Happens When a Believer Dies?
The death of the Saint is the death of the presence of sin.
The death of the suffering of the body.
The death of all temptations. The death of all attacks from within and without.
It is the end of dying.
It is the death of death. This will not happen again.
Faith has given way to sight; hope has given way to reality.
This must happen. The body must die and be buried. This corrupt body cannot inherit glory. This change is the last part of being saved.
It is also the answer to our Lord’s prayer in John 17:24;“Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.”

CHRIST SHALL NOT FAIL "He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law" (Isaiah 42:4).
To you who believe the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, this is one of the most precious promises in all scripture (2 Peter 1:4). The Lord Jesus Christ has been appointed by Almighty God and sent in the fullness of time (Gal.4:4) to accomplish all our salvation (John 17:4). The success of His work is guaranteed by the decree of God (Acts 2:23; Isa. 46:9-12).
It is sad but true, every sinner has miserably failed to honor God and produce a righteousness that would satisfy Him, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Rom. 3:23). However, this gives us all the more reason to rejoice and trust our Great Saviour and Surety that cannot fail (Heb.7:25). Although He met with fierce opposition (John 19:15) and had great difficulties to overcome (Heb. 4:15), He always went about doing the will and work of God with perfection and without fail (John 4:34).
This leads us to consider what work did He undertake as the Saviour and Surety of His covenant people, in which He did not fail? Think about these things!
1).He did not fail, to fulfill every type, picture, prophecy and promise recorded in the Old Testament scriptures. "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me" (John 5:39; Luke 24: 25-27, 44-46). What God promised in the covenant of grace our Lord Jesus Christ perfectly fulfilled (Rom.4:21).
2).He did not fail, to honor, magnify and exalt the holy law of God for His covenant people, (Isa. 42:21). "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil" (Matt. 5:17). He established a perfect righteousness for His people and sovereignly and freely imputes it unto them (Rom. 4: 4-8; Isa.61:10).
3).He did not fail, to make complete and eternal atonement for the sin of His covenant people, "But now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself" (Heb. 2:17; 9:26). The Good Shepherd gave His life as the sacrifice for the sin of His sheep (John. 10:15; 1 Peter 3:18).
4).He shall not fail, to justify, redeem, sanctify, call and glorify all His covenant people. "Whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified" (Rom. 8:30-31).
Our very hope of salvation and joy of eternal life is based upon the unfailing, perfect, eternal and complete work of the Lord Jesus Christ, Who cannot fail (John 17:1-5; John 19:30)!
