The Almighty God is a jealous God. He will not share His glory with no other and rightfully so. We are to love and worship the One, True God with all our heart, thought, mind, and soul. There is no room for idolatry in our worship. Idolatry is having or inventing something in which one trusts in place of or alongside of the only true God, who has revealed himself in the Word. We are called to put 100% of our trust in Him alone and worship God alone who is blessed forever and ever! Putting our trust in anything or anyone else is a violation of this commandment.
