I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:1-4
WOULD YOU BE JUSTIFIED BEFORE GOD?
Then learn one thing! Jesus Christ is ALL in our justification before God! Only through Christ can a sinner have peace with the Holy God. Only by Christ alone can a sinner be accepted and admitted into God's presence. HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS is the only robe which will cover us. HIS BLOOD is the only mark that will save us from eternal death. HIS NAME is the only name by which we shall obtain an entrance through the gate of eternal glory. I pity those who try to obtain God's favor by their works; and I sound a clear warning--you are building on sand; you are spending money for that which is not bread; you will hear Him say, "Depart from me, ye that work iniquity." BUT THIS I KNOW; not one person has ever entered heaven's courts with any testimony but this; "Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood--to Him be the glory" (Rev. 1:5-6). The Intercession Of Christ
The believer is perfect in Christ, but in himself is a poor feeble creature, ever liable to fall. Oh, the blessedness of having One who can manage all his affairs for him at the right hand of the Majesty in the Heavens: One who upholds him continually by the right hand of His righteousness: One who will never let him go: One who is able to save to the uttermost: One who is the same yesterday, today, and forever: One who will bear him triumphantly through all the difficulties and dangers that surround him and finally, present him faultless before the presence of His Glory with exceeding joy. Blessed forever be the grace that has made such ample provision for all our sins in the Blood of a spotless victim and the intercession of a Divine High Priest.

CHRIST OUR GOSPEL
The doctrines we preach and love are not mere teachings of some particular method or plan, but the doctrines of Christ, who IS our Gospel; Christ who is sovereign over all flesh; Christ, whose grace is both sovereign and free. Not to preach a sovereign Christ, is to preach another Christ. To preach another Christ is to preach another gospel (which is not another, Galatians 1:6-9). It is just that simple. Mark it down, you cannot separate Christ from the Gospel or the Gospel from Christ, for they are one and the same. Christ is sovereign over all things and over all flesh, giving life freely to whom He will. The message of life for poor guilty sinners is the message of the Christ of God, who saves sovereignly and freely, even the chief of sinners!

“I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you” (John 14:18).
Did the Lord mean that He would come to His own after His resurrection? Or did He mean that He would come to His people in the power of the Holy Spirit in regenerating grace and then be with them as they assemble to worship? Or did He mean that He would come to His elect in the hour of their physical death? Or did He mean that He would come again for His bride at His glorious second coming? Well, thanks be unto Him Who said, “Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world (Matt. 28:20),I would say that Scripture bears out that the answer to all the questions above would be a resounding YES!

ENCOURAGEMENT IN THE LORD
“David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God” (1 Sam. 30:6).
David found himself in a very discouraging situation. Ziklag had been burned with fire, the families of David and his army had been taken captive, his men were ready to stone him to death.
How could David find any encouragement in this situation? He took his eyes off the situation and fixed his heart and faith upon the Lord his God.
Who is all our comfort in times of trial and heartache? The Lord our God! When we look within we find nothing but sin, doubt and discouragement. But when we are blessed with eyes of faith to behold Him, who is the Lord our God, sovereign, wise, and able to do above all we ask or think (Eph. 3:20) then we have every reason to be encouraged in the Lord our God. Our Lord says, “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else”(Isa. 45:22). What a word of encouragement! David encouraged himself by the very means God ordained, His word of truth (Psalm 115:1-4; 121; 135:1-6). God help us to do the same (Psa. 55:22)!
