I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah. For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found.
Psalm 32:5-6
GOD WILL PROVIDE
That was my subject on television today, and the message was such a blessing to me as I prepared it and preached it! Oh, that our Lord would increase our faith and enable us to face each day, each trial, and each doubt with the confidence of Abraham, "My son, God will provide" (Gen. 22:8). I know that the chief reference here is to THE LAMB, our sin-offering; God will provide THE LAMB, Christ Jesus; God will provide HIMSELF, the Lamb; for Christ Jesus is God. God will provide the Lamb FOR HIMSELF, to satisfy His own justice and honor His own law. But this statement is the watchword of every believer for every occasion! "GOD WILL PROVIDE." May our Lord give us such confidence and comfort in His constant mercy and grace that we can meet every need with this IMMEDIATE response, "My son, God will provide." Too often we get around to this position rather late, don't we? The real peace and rest is in being confident that our Lord will provide BEFORE HE DOES, as Abraham was. Pastor Henry T. “Brethren pray for us” I Thessalonians 5:2
Of all the requests that could be made by a believer in the Lord Jesus unto those who are of like faith and have also been made to see something of their own spiritual weakness and are struggling daily with the trials and temptations from within and without, there is no request greater than, “Brethren pray for us.” How honoring unto the Lord and comforting to the believer that a brother or sister would pray unto Him who, “Is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think,” on our behalf.

Sin—Righteousness –Judgment
The Holy Spirit convicts every sinner, for whom Christ died for of these three things.
Sin: Sin is what I am, not just the things I do or don’t do. Sin is my nature, “I was born in sin and shapen in iniquity” (Psalm 51). He gives to those whom He saves a right understanding of sin.
Righteousness: First. I don’t have righteousness. Second. Jesus Christ is all my righteousness. Romans 10:4; “For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth.”
Christ’s obedience, even unto death is the righteousness of the saints.
Judgment: I deserve the judgment of God’s wrath, that’s true. The Holy Spirit takes every sinner whom He saves to the Cross and reveals to them God’s judgment on them in their Substitute, Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. My judgment passed on Him and I am free.
John 8:36; “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
Therefore we conclude, Romans 8:1;“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

COVENANT MERCIES 2 Sam.23:1-5
Sometimes the last words of a man are regarded, remembered and sometimes even recorded for all to read and think upon. Certainly this is true of David. God is about to call him home to glory, in this special time, he found his comfort, hope, and salvation in God's covenant of mercy and grace revealed in Jesus Christ, who is the Surety of the Covenant (Heb. 7:22). Although David had won many victories, had even reigned over Israel for forty years as God's King, and was used of God to write many Psalms, his hope of salvation was not what he accomplished, but rather in Christ alone. David describes the hope of every believer in verse five. Although we are sinners (Psalm 51:5), although we are guilty before God (Rom. 3:19), although we deserve nothing but judgment and God's wrath (Rom. 6:23); yet, God delights to show mercy because of the eternal covenant of grace made with Christ Jesus before the world began (Heb. 13:20). Our sinful condition does not hinder His almighty purpose and grace in Christ (Dan.4:35; Rom.5:6).
Remember these five things about this covenant!
1). This covenant is everlasting!
Everlasting in its council. Before there was a sinner there was a Saviour. Before Adam fell, the Surety stood (Rev. 13:8). Everlasting in its continuance. Whatever God does it shall be forever (Eccl. 3:14). Everlasting in its consequences. The believer is predestinated to be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ (Rom. 8:28-30).
2).This covenant is ordered in all things!
The mercies and grace of God are not left to luck, chance nor the sinners will, but to the determinate council and purpose of God (Eph. 1:3-6). This puts the doing of our salvation not in our hands, but in Christ's alone who cannot fail (Isa. 42:4). Salvation is of the Lord (Rom. 9:13-16)!
3).This covenant of grace is sure!
It stands upon a sure basis. The Lord Christ Jesus is the foundation upon which this covenant rests, He is the solid Rock (Isa. 28:16; 2 Tim.2:19).
4). This is all my salvation!
It is totally upon Jesus Christ, His person, sacrifice and righteousness that the believer has any measure of confidence in salvation. Jesus Christ is not a way, He is the Way (John 14:6; Col. 2:9-10).
5). This is all my desire!
We rejoice in Jesus Christ and have no confidence in the flesh. We desire to know more about Jesus Christ and to grow in grace and in the knowledge of Him (Phil. 3:3-9; 1 Peter 2:2). This is the earnest desire of every believer!
