“Coffee with Christ”

(Galatians 5:24-26)
“And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.”

They that are His! That automatically categorizes people doesn’t it! We categorize people in many different ways. My father used to say, “Mark, there are only two kinds of people in the world. The caught and the uncaught.” After I became a man I realized that he was right and wrong at the same time. There are only two kinds of people in the world. But they are not the caught and the uncaught. They are those who are Christ’s and those who are not! Those who are his are consistently and constantly crucifying the flesh. Paul said He died daily! There are those who are alive spiritually but do not consistently walk in the Spirit. Every child of God, to some degree or another, is both Spiritual and carnal. That includes pastors. Pastors are an arrogant, prideful lot! Desirous of vain glory, provoking each other, envying each other! If we, clergy or congregation, have been given the gift of spiritual life, we should walk the walk and not just talk the talk.
