When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; what is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Psalm 8:3-4
“Whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.” Prov. 28:26
The apostle Paul was moved of the Holy Spirit to write to the church at Ephesus that they were to, “walk as children of light,” (Eph. 5:8). As I thought upon this passage, my mind was made to consider, “How does a child of light walk?” Well, he walks as a needy sinner who was mercifully rescued from the bondage of sin as Saul of Tarsus on the road to Damascus…he walks, by faith, as a needy sinner who is being kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time…and finally comes to the end of his days, as a needy sinner, with the same cry of faith that Peter gave when he saw the wind boisterous and was afraid and began to sink and cried , saying, “Lord, save me.”

My All In All
The Scriptures declare in Colossians 3:11, “CHRIST IS ALL AND IN ALL.” Those who believe Him and His covenant promises are convinced in heart and soul that CHRIST IS ALL!
Then if Christ is indeed all to me, the loss of anything in this world for His sake would be no loss at all. Paul said, “I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord” (Phil. 3:7-10).
If Christ is all, then I can say at all times with Jacob, “I have everything” (Gen. 33:9-11). Esau said, “I have plenty,” but Jacob said, “I have EVERYTHING.” He, of God, is made unto us all things (1 Cor. 1:30).
If Christ is all to me, then the pleasures, profits, and honors of this world will neither interest nor influence me since they can add nothing to me nor take anything from me that really matters (Col. 2:9-10).
If Christ is all, when I stand before the tribunal of the eternal God, I will lack nothing that is necessary for eternal life and glory (Rom.8:1-3; 32-39)!

Christ Our Gospel
The doctrines we preach and love are not ere teachings of some particular method of plan, but the doctrines of Christ, who is our Gospel; Christ, who is sovereign over all flesh; Christ, whose grace is both sovereign and free. Not to preach a sovereign Christ is to preach another Christ. To preach another Christ is to preach another gospel (“Which is not another”Galatians 1:6-9). It is just that simple. Mark it down: you cannot separate Christ from the Gospel or the Gospel from Christ; for they are one and the same. Christ is sovereign over all things and over all flesh, giving life freely to whom He will. The message of life for poor guilty sinners is the message of the Christ of God, who saves sovereignly and freely, even the chief of sinners. Pastor Maurice Montgomery
CONFIDENCE IN CHRIST
“And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.” (1 John 2:28).
What sweet comfort this precious promise of God gives to the heart of the believer. Our Lord shall return with glorious splendor to receive us to Himself forever (John 14:1-3). Now, and in that blessed day we shall have absolute and eternal confidence to stand before the holy throne of God totally justified and complete in Christ (Col. 2:9-10). True saving faith has all confidence in Christ, not in self (Heb. 12:2). We say with the Apostle, "We are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh" (Phil. 3:3).
Believers not only have all confidence in Christ, but we also shall never be ashamed of His gospel now, nor before Him at His glorious coming (1John 3:2:4:17). Every believer can boldly say with the Apostle, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." (Rom. 1:16).
Christ Jesus is not ashamed to love us (1John 4:10), to own us (Heb. 2:13), to die for us (Heb. 2:17) and to present us faultless before His holy throne (Jude 1:24). "For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren" (Heb.2:11).
How could we ever be ashamed of Him? "For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels” (Luke 9:26).
Therefore, those who rest in the Lord Jesus Christ shall have great confidence in Him and shall never be confounded, confused or ashamed to own Him as Lord and Saviour, now and forever. "Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded" (1Peter 2:6; Rom.9: 33; Isa. 28:16).
