Vs4, "shooting from ambush at the blameless, shooting at him suddenly and without fear."
Injustices happen to believers. The flesh assaults us daily. Worshipping God is opposed. It's not easy being filled with the Spirit. The ground yields thorns. When we'd do good, evil is with us. Romans 7:19," For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice."
Run to the refuge of no condemnation. The flesh is not held against you. God's mercy has overcome unbelief and depravity. He's a forgiving and a helping God. Romans 4:8, "Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin.”
Count on the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:2, "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death." Christ has not left us orphans. He comes to us with power, and sets us free. He gives an understanding. We see where we are wrong, repent, and do better. We bear good fruit because warfare brings us to God, and then to godliness.
Vs7, "But God shoots his arrow at them; they are wounded suddenly."
Thank God for help in battle, and the many precious promises. Thank him for victory that is sure. The Mightiest is on our side. We can do all through Christ who strengthens us.
It's not us, but God fights against the world in us and through us, and defeats the kingdom of darkness. Thankfully, our help is Omnipotent. Do not despair, dear people. Believe who is for you, and fight through prayer.
Vs10, "Let the righteous one rejoice in the LORD and take refuge in him! Let all the upright in heart exult!"
Praise God, and rejoice. Let your songs be sung anew. Fill your heart with laughter, and let his peace rule you. Tell others about sovereign grace, and the rest that's sweet.
Tell them how you're comforted, and he does the works. Tell the insights you've learned from bondage broken bondage - how once again you've learned that it's faith and not works; it's rest and not heavy labor. Proclaim the joy of GIVING HIM GLORY, and seeking nothing for self.
It's good to be happy in the Lord - resting and contented. It's good to be believing, rather than earning.
We'll fight until we leave this world, but let us sing heartily. Spite the devil, and encourage God's people!
