“Coffee with Christ”

(2 Corinthians 12:9-10)

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.”

“My strength is made (whole) in weakness.” Paul was given a thorn in the flesh to stem the tide of pride! Paul asked Him three times to take the thorn away! He didn’t like it! He didn’t want it! God’s answer was, “Yes, but you need it”! What do you glory in? What do you take pride in? That is what glorying in something is, taking pride in it. Is it your intellect? Is it your strength, your wit, your charming personality? Only when we come to realize that we are nothing without Christ. It’s not MY strengths that make me strong but MY weaknesses. Those are the things that make me realize how much I need Christ! I do not take pride in my weaknesses, but I can take pleasure in them. Thank you Lord, for when I am weak, then am I strong!
