O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether. Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
Psalm 139:1-5
TO DIE IS GAIN
“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:21).
Believers are not at risk of losing anything in death. What they lose is this cursed flesh that has been nothing to them but a plague from the day they were born. What they lose is an old nature that has warred against their spiritual minds from the day they were born of God. What they lose is all the soap bubble dreams of a cursed world that promises everything and gives nothing but heartache and disappointment. In death they lose corruption and put on incorruption. In death they lose mortality and gain immortality. For the believer death is gain because death is swallowed up in victory. Death to the believer is gain because he will leave this sinful world and immediately be ushered into the presence of his beloved Savior.

Grace
GRACE is not a thing I use; grace is that which uses me. Grace is not something I improve; but grace improves me, works on me, changes me. Men may talk of universal grace, but it is nonsense; there is no such thing. There are universal blessings and universal mercies scattered everywhere. It is not so of GRACE! Men cannot take the grace of God and use it to turn themselves from death to life, from darkness to light. The light does not come to the darkness and say, "Use me if you will," but the light comes and drives the darkness away. Life does not come to the dead and say, "Use me and live." but life comes with a power of its own and restores to life. God did not ask the dry bones to cooperate with His Spirit; He commanded them to live. Copied
God’s Word
I do not believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God because I have been given verifiable proofs that its prophecies have come to pass. I do not believe it is the Word of God because I have weighed the evidences for it being God’s Word and the alleged evidences of it not being inspired and have concluded that the evidence for it being the Word of God outweighs the alleged evidences that it is not infallible. I believe the Word of God is the Word of God because it is the Word of God. The Truth recommends itself as the Truth! I hear what the book says, I believe all it says, and I know this book was not written by men! “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God.” “Holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” I believe the Bible is God’s Word, and believing, I know it is.

The Lord’s Table
I Corinthians 11:23-29
Paul here sets forth the Lord’s Table as it should be observed by the Lord’s Church.
1.) He tells how he came by the knowledge of it – by revelation from Christ!
2.) He sets forth the author of it – the Lord Jesus Himself!
3.) He gives the time of the institution – the same night He was betrayed and arrested.
4.) He lists the materials of the supper – bread and wine (Luke 22:14-20). The bread represented His broken body and the wine His blood shed for us. Nothing is said of the absurd doctrine of transubstantiation. The bread and wine do not actually become the body and blood of the Lord, but only represent, or symbolize, His body and blood. “THIS DO IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME,” said our Lord, in order to keep fresh in our minds and hearts His sacrifice for our sins and His intercession now on our behalf. We not only remember His death for us, but we “SHOW,” declare, or proclaim His substitutionary work (I Peter 1:18-19).
5.) It should be observed frequently. No time is specified; but as often as you observe the Lord’s Table, you remember and proclaim His death. “For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.”
6.) Whoever eats the Lord’s Table in a way that is unworthy of Christ may be said to be guilty of the body and blood of Christ, inasmuch as he violates this important ordinance, despises the precious blood of Christ, and treats lightly the sufferings of our Lord.
Let each person examine himself concerning his own knowledge of Christ – who Christ is, what Christ did, why Christ suffered, and where Christ is now. Let him determine his experience concerning repentance, faith, and love for the Redeemer; then let him eat. For an unworthy person (not a believer) to come to the table, or for him to come in an unworthy manner (as the Corinthians were doing), or to come for an unworthy purpose is to bring God’s wrath upon himself! This is no ordinary supper, but a most holy time.
