The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth. Psalm 110:1-3
The First and The Last Adam
“As in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive”
(I Corinthians 15:22).
The first man, Adam, was the representative, the covenant and federal head, of all men. We all lived in him, and we all died in him when he sinned (Rom. 5:12). Sin, disease, physical death, and eternal death came upon us through Adam’s disobedience.
So too is Christ the representative, the covenant and federal head, of the elect. And because He became a man, obeyed the law of God perfectly, died for our sins, and rose again, in Him we have righteousness, redemption, and eternal life (Rom. 5:17-19).
All who were “in Adam” die. All who are “in Christ” shall live.

TRUST IN THE NAME OF THE LORD
“Let him trust in the name of the LORD” (Isaiah 50:10).
The scripture says trust in the name of the Lord because the name of the Lord tells us who the Lord is. If you would be saved trust all of your salvation to the Lord Jesus Christ as He is revealed in the scriptures. The scriptures give us seven names or characteristics of the Lord in whom we can trust.
Trust in Jehovah-jireh: (Gen. 22:14) The Lord will provide. Trust in Christ to provide everything that God requires of you.
Trust in Jehovah-rapha: (Exodus 15:26) The Lord that healeth. Trust in Christ to heal all of your spiritual sin sickness by His precious blood.
Trust in Jehovah-nissi: (Exodus 17:15) The Lord our banner. Trust in the Lord, look to Him, run to where He is and where He is preached and hide in Him.
Trust in Jehovah-shalom: (Judges 6:24) The Lord our peace. Trust in Christ to make peace with God for you by the blood of His cross.
Trust in Jehovah-ra-ah: (Psalm 23) The Lord my Shepherd. Trust in Christ to lead you, protect you, and to provide for you.
Trust in Jehovah-tsidkenu: (Jer. 23:6) The Lord our righteousness. Trust in Christ to be all of your righteousness without any help from you.
Trust in Jehovah-shammah: (Ezek. 48:35) The Lord is present. Trust Christ the Savior to never leave you nor forsake you so that you will never stand alone before God.

WHO IS JESUS CHRIST? “Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen” (Rom. 9:5).
God sovereignly separated this Jewish nation from all others (Deut. 7:6-8). From this nation God called out sinners like Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and David and gave them faith in Christ. But still a much greater honor and exalted privilege was given to this nation, “Of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came.” The holy humanity of the Lord Jesus Christ came through these people (Psa. 132:11; Rom. 1:3; Heb. 2:14-17). This declares unto us that He really was a true man, born of a woman, made under the law (Gal. 4:4). He was a real man born in time, apart from sin (Rom. 8:3).
Not only is the sinless humanity declared in this scripture, but also His real deity, “Who is over all, God blessed for ever.” We must have a Saviour as this (Acts 20:28). One who is God over all and at the same time, the sinless man in one blessed person, the old writers referred to Christ Jesus as the God-Man, Mediator. Paul, the apostle called Him, God our Saviour (Titus 1:3; 2:10; 3:4). Our blessed Lord in His incarnation remained what He was, “God over all blessed for ever” and became what He was never before, “flesh” (John 1:1, 14; 1Tim. 3:16).
Upon this great truth rests the foundation of His whole redemptive work, it is who He is that gives power, infinite value and life to what He accomplished (Heb. 9:11-14; 1Peter 1:18-20).“Amen” Amen signifies truth (Rom. 1:25) consent and affirmation of what God has just said. Every believer can heartily say, AMEN (Rev.1:5-6; 5:13-14; 7:9-12).
Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lor d Jesus Christ (2 Thes. 1:11-12).
