(1 Timothy 3:14-15)
“These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly: But if I tarry long, (I write these things to you) that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.”

What would you consider to be the the pillar and ground of truth? Most Christians would of course say the Bible! The Word of God! But that is not what the Bible its self claims. These verses of Scripture claim that it is the Church, The House of God. We know as Christians, that it is not the building we go to every time the doors are open to worship that is being taught here. It is not the building that is The Church, but we the people are the Body of Christ. We are The Church! The Bible cannot get up and go! It is Christ in you, the hope of Glory! Paul is teaching young Timothy in chapters one through three how He should lead, as a Pastor the Body of Christ to be the pillar and ground of Truth! Are you, as a faithful Church member, revealing to the world around you what it means to be a Christian? Are you telling the truth about who Christ is by the life you live in front of the world?
