(Lamentations 3:22-26) “It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.”
All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. It is only by His mercy that we do not get what we deserve. It is an act of self restraint and great Grace that He didn’t kill us all in our sleep last night for the sin we committed yesterday. His compassion and faithfulness is renewed every morning. They fail not! Our only hope is to seek after and “quietly” wait upon the Lord.
(Psalm 78:38) “But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and destroyed them not: yea, many a time turned he his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath.”
