Psalms 103:14, “For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.” This verse teaches us that the Lord is pitiful of us and ever ready to help us. The Lord does not forget that we are weak and feeble. He knows when we suffer pain or disabling infirmities. He never treats us as if we were strong mighty angels.
He not only knows we are physically weak but He also knows that we are spiritually feeble too. He sees that it is hard for us to live right and walk humbly. We are as easily overcome spiritually as we are physically. All this the Lord knows. Yet He does not love us any less. He is very patient and gentle with us even when we have sinned. He does not lay upon us loads too heavy for us and He does not bring us into situations too great for us, “for He knoweth our frame.”
Is your frame (physically or spiritually) poorly today? Take comfort in the truth that your ever merciful Lord knows it—knows it with tender pity. He will spare you as a man spares his own son that serves him and sustain you as mother her little sucking child.
