I received news from the OPP that I will be charged again for gathering the congregation for worship on February 14.
This came as a surprise since there was nothing on that day or the week following. I am told that they have been preparing what's called a long form so that I can answer to both charges on the same day (April 1).
It is my understanding that this means that I now face a maximum of 2 years in prison and 200,000 in fines... for gathering for worship.
I have no complaints. I have counted the cost and am grateful to be a partaker of the afflictions of the gospel. Pray that the Lord would use such things to strengthen and revive our congregation and the Church broadly. Pray that in all this whatever comes Jesus may be magnified.
And do keep praying for brother James Coates who remains in prison for similarly gathering his congregation.
Dear brother, we will continue to pray for you that the Lord may give you wisdom from above in handling all this in His will and strength. Last year you and your church prayed for revival. What happens now is an answer to that prayer. The Lord is testing you, purifying the church and seeking to make you a testimony in your country. When the Lord came with power in mighty revivals of the past, the result was the same: some were purified and dedicated, others disappeared because they did not want to pay the price of total dedication.
