See now that I am He;

God is in control of all things. It distresses me that men would give fear unto Satan, as if he’s a rival god and has great power! He is a chained and CREATED BEING, who can only do what God allows [Rev 20:1-3, 7-8].

God was there in the Garden, but the Lamb was slain in His purpose, so He allowed Adam to fall.

Christ, a lamb without blemish or spot. He was known before the foundation of the world, but was revealed in the last times for your sake. [1 Pet 1:19-20]

God was there on Calvary, but He used men’s wicked hands to accomplish His purpose. He is there in hell pouring out His wrath, but it is to glorify Him.

The god of man’s invention is an idol, a weak and helpless being, and he is not to be worshiped or considered. The God of the Bible is a mighty King, worthy of fear, and He is the Savior. We can look to Him in distress, and this is our comfort - not that He’s helpless, but He is absolutely sovereign and controlling everything. Do not fear. He rules in the midst of His enemies [Ps 110:2].

John 17 says that He has power over all flesh, so that He may give eternal life to whom He pleases.

For You granted Him authority over all flesh, so that He may give eternal life to all those You have given Him. [John 17:2]

He could not give eternal life, if He didn’t control all things: He could not predestinate us to salvation, if He didn’t control every step of history!

In Him we were also chosen as God’s own, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything by the counsel of His will, [Eph 1:11]

He could not prophecy the end from the beginning, if He didn’t rule everything. He could not be God unless He knew all, controls all, and does all for His glory: He could not be the God of the Bible!

People have made a little god, and the coronavirus has exposed every ungodly notion of him. He is weak and helpless. He reacts but doesn’t reign. He’s stronger than evil, but barely, because it subverts his plan and hinders his great desire. The Devil is magnified, and man’s puny will is deified: This is how we got into this “word of faith”, health, wealth, and prosperity mess! God wants to do good, they say, but he has no sovereignty, and man’s happiness is his highest ambition. Men have blasphemously said that God is limited on earth, “it’s been given to men,” and he can’t act without man’s permission. It is a hateful doctrine hatched in hell, and it leads men to perdition. I’m scared and grieved for the mass of humanity that has limited God in these last days. Woe unto you and this foolish notion.

The God of the Bible is sovereign, saves sinners by faith in Christ, and ordained the Fall. He didn’t create evil, but all trains are on track and on schedule. The Lamb was slain, so Adam had to fall. Sinners were ordained to destruction by Adam’s transgression from before the world began [Rom 9:22-23].

They stumble because they disobey the word—and to this they were appointed. [1 Pet 2:8]

God knew what they’d do - resist His gospel, murder His Son -and He knew what He’d do - punish them forever! Get mad if you want, but this is God. Get to Christ, if you have wisdom, and humble yourself! Fear and tremble. Be low before your Maker!

Man’s audacity is his greatest ignorance! Satan is sealed in doom and has no hope, but YOU, a mere mortal, have the opportunity to be saved, yet you twist the Scriptures and walk in darkness. You refuse light when it comes to you - not because you’ve never heard, not because you believed a lie, but because you will not come to truth: You despise the light!
