You cannot fight God or His church.
“So it will be for all the many nations who go to battle against Mount Zion.” Isa 29:8
He will save the elect and redeem the people, so we must choose God’s side or perish!
Secondly, we must be careful about challenging God!
You have turned things around, as if the potter were the same as the clay. How can what is made say about its maker," He didn't make me"? How can what is formed say about the one who formed it," He doesn't understand what he's doing"? [Isa 29:16]
It is far better to sit at His feet and learn, because He will teach you, but to say the Potter has no power over the clay is foolish! He will accomplish His purpose and do all that He has ordained. No one will stop Him or even slow Him down. No event will happen outside of His permissive will.
Let us be wise and warned: God is a GREAT KING, and we must fear Him.
Finally, God’s elect, represented by national Israel, will come to hear and believe the gospel!
Those who are confused will gain understanding, and those who grumble will accept instruction. [Isa 29:24]
A darkened understanding will not prevail against us, and men’s attempts to turn us away will be thwarted!
The sorcerer tried to turn the proconsul from the faith, but he was blinded by Paul and the proconsul believed.
“Then the proconsul, seeing what happened, believed and was astonished at the teaching about the Lord [Acts 13:12].”
The Pharisees murdered Christ to silence Him, but He rose, proving that His death was ordained by God for salvation [Acts 2:23-24]. The Devil tries hard to oppose us, but he’s never destroyed one soul for whom Christ died. The gospel is God’s invincible, which is why we preach it; it is not a message of a helpless god or idol, whose, “Done all that he can do.” No, it is the message of sovereign grace and mercy - the goodness of God - and the power of the Holy Spirit to unlock the captives, enter our minds with truth, and convince us to believe on Christ.
Let our gospel be CRYSTAL CLEAR, so that the Spirit may work by the means that He has appointed, which is the bold, open, and loving testimony of the truth in Christ. We are messengers who will be understood!
