Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire. Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
Psalm 46:8-11
True Confession
Paul wrote, “With the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Rom. 10:10).
There must be no confession of the mouth where there is no genuine believing with the heart. But when true faith is found in the heart, there will be a bold, firm, and continual confession of Christ in WORD, WORKS, and WILL. This confession of Christ embraces the whole of a person’s life.
I do not think that a person merely saying, “I accept Jesus as my personal Saviour, and I will be baptized and join the church,” is what Paul teaches here as confessing Christ with the mouth. Confessing CHRIST is the whole of a person’s life, revealing outwardly what God has worked inwardly. It is the confession by word, act, deed, and attitude of what God, by His Spirit, has created within our heart.
“One tree is not a forest,” it has been said; so one public act is not a confession of Christ.

Pray For Mercy
Here is a prayer that God never says no to… “Have mercy upon me.” Whenever someone asks for mercy, they are acknowledging their guilt before God, they are acknowledging His sovereign right to give or withhold it as He sees fit, and they are pleading their need of mercy. Everybody who truly pleads for mercy will have it. If you say, “I asked the Lord for mercy and He did not give it to me,” then you really never asked for mercy. You may have used the word “mercy” but that is not what you meant. Because if you meant what the Bible means by mercy, you would have it! The Lord did say, “Him that cometh to Me, I will in no wise cast out.” If you are not received in mercy by Him, it is because you never came to Him for mercy in the first place! Remember, “He delighteth in mercy.”

Come To Christ
Christ told us “If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink” (John 7:37). And “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Isaiah prophesied “Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.” ANY, ALL, and EVERY ONE; come thirsty, tired and burdened. Come to Christ now, without any payment of your works, and enter into true rest!

Christ Is Precious
“Unto you therefore which believe he is precious” (1 Peter 2:7).
It is impossible for those who believe in Christ to fully express the preciousness of Him to them.
1). He is precious to every believer because He is their life. “He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life” (1 John 5:12).
2). He is precious to every believer because He is their clothing. The best robe that the Father gives or imputes to every son that He receives is the righteousness of Christ. It is the robe of His spinning by His perfect obedience and sacrifice.
3). He is precious to every believer because He is their food. Just as the Israel of old feasted on the Paschal Lamb so God’s spiritual Israel feasts on the Lamb of God. We continually feast upon his flesh and drink His blood; we continually look to His one sacrifice that atones for all the sins of His elect.
4). He is precious to every believer for He is our hiding place. In the storms of life we say with the psalmist: “Yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be over past” (Psalm 57:2). Pastor David Pledger
“And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15).
God’s preachers preach the message of God’s grace in Christ Jesus to undeserving sinners, the Gospel, because they’re obedient servants, (Mark 16:15). They preach because they’re convinced of God that there’s no other message that the Holy Spirit shall bless to the salvation of a sinner except that Gospel (Rom. 1:16). And they know, by Divine revelation, that there’s a remnant according to the electing grace (Rom. 11:5); that shall hear with new ears, see with new eyes and believe on Christ with a new heart, (Ezek. 36:26-28), because they are born from above (John 6:37) .
