Great Prophet! Let us bless Thy Name, By Thee the joyful tidings came, Of wrath appeased, of sins forgiv’n , Of hell subdued, and peace with heav’n.
I love my Shepherd! He will keep My wand’ring soul among His sheep; He feeds His flock, He calls their names, And on His shoulder bears His lambs.
Jesus, my Great High Priest has died, I need no sacrifice beside; His blood did once for sin atone, And now it pleads before the throne.
My Lord, my Conqueror, and my King, Thy scepter and Thy throne I sing; Thine is the glory, and I sit, A joyful subject, at Thy feet.

Child of God, Christ Himself has felt the pains of Hell for you — the Lamb of God being roasted in the fire of God's wrath! By this burnt-offering the Lord is now appeased towards His people. Oh how may the godly rejoice! Christ being for a time in the fiery furnace of God's wrath — that fire can do a believer no hurt. The saints have the garment of Christ's righteousness upon them, and the fire of Hell can never singe this garment! "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." (Romans 8:1) —Thomas Watson
“They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” (Mark 2:17)
Christ is the great physician – No one can be compared to Him for qualifications or success. He is the good physician – No one beside Him can be found who so kindly, so freely, and so effectually heals every applicant! His blood is the true balm of Gilead. It is not only His work but His delight to heal sin-sick souls! And He heals them all freely, certainly, and perfectly! His terms are, "No Money! No Price!" Those whom He restores to health will enjoy health forever. He makes every one of His patients immortal and surrounds them with all that can make them holy and happy forever! —James Smith
DO YOU HUNGER AND THIRST AFTER RIGHTEOUSNESS? “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled” (Matthew 5:6). When God the Holy Spirit regenerates a sinner by imparting to him new life and creating within him a new heart, he gives that sinner a real hunger and thirst after righteousness, and He brings that sinner to have that hunger and thirst satisfied and quenched. HOW? It is not by the regenerated sinner seeking and finding righteousness within himself or by his works. The one who has been given spiritual life by the Holy Spirit most certainly longs for righteousness in himself and for righteousness in his works, but as long as he seeks it in these places, he will always be unfulfilled. God the Holy Spirit always brings the born-again person to seek and to find righteousness and holiness in and by the Lord Jesus Christ and based on His work of redemption for His people. This is how the spiritual man or woman’s hunger and thirst for righteousness is satisfied forever. —Pastor Bill Parker
WHO ARE THE OBJECTS OF GOD’S LOVE? Most professing Christians do not want to hear about or even consider that God could actually hate someone. They have been told all their lives, and they believe that God loves everyone and is trying to save everyone. But what does the Word of God say? “For Thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with Thee. The foolish shall not stand in Thy sight: Thou hatest all workers of iniquity” (Psalm 5:4-5). Unbelievers see this as unfair and unjust of God. They see it as God being cruel and unreasonable. They see God’s hatred in the same way they view man’s sinful hatred which is always wrong. But God’s hatred is holy and just. It is His righteous indignation. It is His just wrath against “all workers of iniquity.” God is holy and just, and He cannot help but hate (reject) all to whom iniquity is charged. But the Bible speaks also of God’s love, doesn’t it? If He hates ALL workers of iniquity, and if we are all workers of iniquity, then who exactly does God love, and how can He love any of us when we are all sinners who deserve nothing but God’s hatred and wrath. Here is the glory and the miracle of God’s grace! God loves His chosen people in Christ. Outside of Christ there is no love from God. Outside of Christ there is nothing but God’s hatred and wrath. It is in Christ that God loves His people and does not charge them with their iniquity. God has charged the iniquity of His people to Christ, and Christ has paid the full penalty of God’s hatred and wrath against them (Psa. 32:1-2; Rom. 4:6-8; 2 Cor. 5:21). This is how we who are workers of iniquity can stand before God and be justified and accepted. It is upon the just ground of Christ’s righteousness imputed to us. God’s grace and God’s love can only be upon this just ground and can only be upon sinners who are cleansed from all their sins by the blood of Christ and justified before God by His righteousness (1 John 4:10). This is the grace and love of God to sinners who have been brought to faith in Christ and repentance of dead works and idolatry (John 3:14-21). Sinner, do you want to be confident that God loves you? Then run to Christ and believe on Him for all salvation, righteousness, forgiveness, eternal life, and glory. If this be your case, then rest in the fact that NOTHING “shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Rom. 8:39). —Pastor Bill Parker
