Today, we begin our Mission’s Emphasis month. Really, I could say that it began last Sunday with the Norton family being here with us because the reality of missions was presented in such a plain way and the need around the world. Do you remember Bro. Norton telling us that in a country of about 2 Million people that there are only estimated 600-1,200 evangelical Christians? That is very hard to fathom and we live in NH which we believe is low on Christianity. What a tremendous need there is for churches to send missionaries with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Next Sunday we will have the Stelzig family here at the church with us as they prepare to leave for the Northwest Territory. This family came through about 3 years ago and are now finishing up their deputation and headed up to their new home the middle of May.
It is my prayer that through this month of April that God would burden our hearts not just to see more of the need, but to do more for the need of the gospel around the world. Would you begin praying now as to what God would allow you to do specifically for the cause of Missions through Granite State Baptist Church? We currently support 10 missionaries and I believe God would have us to support a few more in the next few months. God can do it through us!!

Writing, to me, is like kayaking a river. You are paddling down, and you come to a walled-off canyon, and you make a sharp turn, and you don't know what's around the corner. It could be a waterfall, it could be a big pool. The narrative current carries you. You're surprised, and you're thrilled, and sometimes you're terrified.
