The LORD sitteth upon the flood; yea, the LORD sitteth King for ever. The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace. Psalm 29:10-11
Salvation is of the Lord
If salvation were partly of God and partly of man, it would be like a house built partly on rock and partly on sand. The whole structure would soon fall. If our dependence were upon the Lord Jesus in a measure and on our own works to some degree, it would be a tower that would never reach the sky, doomed to failure from the start.
Oh to know the full meaning of the words, “Salvation is of the Lord.” Taught by the Spirit, through the Word, in heart and experience is the only way to learn the full meaning of “Salvation is of the Lord”.
A man will lie broken at the foot of a cliff, every bone dislocated by the fall, and yet still hope to save himself. Piles of sin, mountains of transgressions, and a landslide of iniquity may bury a man, but he will cling to the hope that he will finally dig his way out.
You may crush human nature and grind it to powder, but every particle of dust will reek with pride and self-righteousness. Only the Holy Spirit can make a man surrender, throw up his hands in helplessness, and cry, “SALVATION IS OF THE LORD!”

GOD SPARED NOT
In 2 Peter 2:4-7; several times the word of the Lord says, “God spared not;” the righteous and holy judgment of God fell without any mixture of mercy on many. The angels that fell were judged and cast out with no mercy. The rebels in Noah’s day were judged with the flood of God’s wrath. The cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were reduced to ashes for their sinful wickedness. But we also read of God’s mercy to some, Noah and his family were spared. The Lord delivered Lot.
The Lord knows how to justly deliver His people from the wrath to come without compromising His righteous character (2 Peter 2:9; 1 Thes. 1:9-10). The Lord our God justly delivers His elect from the wrath to come because He spared not the Lord Jesus Christ from the holy wrath of His anger against our sin (Isa. 53:10; Lam. 1:12; Zech. 13:7). Read this verse slowly; “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. (Romans 8:32-22).
What amazing love the Lord God commends to us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us;(Rom. 5:6-10; 1John 4:10).Were it not for His sovereign love, His fetching grace, and the sacrifice of Christ for our sin, we too would eternally suffer the wrath of God. Thank you Lord for the gospel of substitution and satisfaction; (2 Cor. 5:21; 1 Peter 3:18). Pastor
God A Beggar?
False preachers today have made a beggar of the Lord of Lords. No, my proud religionist, you are the beggar. God is not obligated to do anything but damn you to the eternal praise of His justice. If you keep listening to the wrong voices, your end shall be with those before you of whom Christ said, “I am come in my Father's name and ye receive me not, let another come in his own name and him ye will receive.” (John 5:43).
Pastor Scott Richardson
The idea of a sinner working his way to heaven or earning God’s favor, is not only obnoxious to the holiness of God and repugnant to His grace; but is also a repudiation of the work of Jesus Christ and an insult to human intelligence!!! Pastor Maurice Montgomery
THE PERFECT PRIEST WITH THE PERFECT SACRIFICE
In Leviticus 21 and 22 the Lord instructed Moses and Aaron with the most vital and fundamental information on how to approach and worship Him. The high priest could not have any defect, deformity or blemish (Lev. 21:16-21). Likewise, the sacrifice could not have any blemish at all (Lev.22: 17-24). If the priest had no defect, yet brought a sacrifice with blemishes it would not be accepted, for it "must be perfect to be accepted" (Lev. 22:21). Likewise, if the sacrifice had no blemish, but the priest that offered it had any blemish, the sacrifice would not be accepted at all, because it "must be perfect to be accepted."
All of this declares the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the perfect and great High Priest without blemish, spot, defect, deformity or sin (Heb. 4:14-15; Heb. 7:26; 8:1). Not only is that true, but He is also the perfect sacrifice. He is the Lamb without blemish or spot (John 1:29; 1Peter.1: 18-20). It is only through the Lord Jesus Christ and His glorious sacrifice, that we can be justified from all sin (Acts 13:38-39; Heb. 9:12). In the Lord Jesus Christ every believer is a priest with no blemish, no sin (Rev. 1:5-6; 5:9-10). Likewise, in Christ's precious blood atonement we can approach the throne of grace with boldness (Heb. 4:16), because we have a perfect sacrifice that fully, eternally satisfies the holy justice of God (Rom. 3:24-26; Col. 1:19-22; Jude 1:24-25). Through Christ, we meet God's standard, "It must be perfect to be accepted," all of this, "To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved" (Eph. 1:6). Pastor
