The open ended questions that we base all missions and ministries upon.
1. Who shall declare His times?
2. Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name?
3. Why have You forsaken Me?
The ultimate question and questions that demand an extraordinary response... no matter how you answer them, your answer will cost you everything.
Who shall declare His times? (Isaiah 53:8)
Moreover, WHO will declare His time upon the earth? [He can’t, For He was cut off from the land of the living: for the transgressions of MY people He was stricken... (Isaiah 53:8 and Acts 8:33)
Who will proclaim His life and days? For His life is taken from the earth
This is an open ended question that every soul must answer?
The ultimate question... that demands an extraordinary response. A response that will cost you everything... either way you answer it.
(Isaiah 53 ; Acts 8:33 ; Mark 8:34-38 ; Luke 24:44-47)
Who will take notice and consider what He did that they may proclaim His days... the rest of their days?
Will you?
I WILL!!!
Yes, grace gathers those in the school of grace to teach, equip and mobilize those in the school of grace with them, so they can effectively reach people for Jesus, teach those they reach about Jesus, and equip those they teach to serve Jesus, while they mobilize those they equip to go with Jesus, that they all may reach a hostile world without Jesus to the praise of His grace.
Illustration:
A dog and his master. A dog that sticks with its master is going to get into whatever its master is into. If it’s paint or sawdust or mud, whatever the master does, his dog will be involved in what the masters is doing. The evidence of the Master's work has a way of getting on us... when we stick with our chief disciple maker.
Keep in mind... these open ended questions are the foundation of all missions and ministries upon.
Like this one:
Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? (Revelation 15:4)
The ABC’s of the kingdom... have been and will always be the fear of God. The foundation of all that God does in and through His people will involve the fear of the Lord. Like our educational system is built upon the ABC’s of reading, writing and arithmetic. No matter how complex or difficult studies get you can trace their foundation back to the basics of the ABC’s. The same applies to the fear of God... and who on earth or in heaven or under the earth or in the sea that should not fear Him... no one is excluded or exempt.
But how will they know if they haven’t heard and how can they hear if we don’t answer these two fundamental questions. Will you proclaim His life, so others can hear of His times and give place and purpose and priority and praise to Him who was forsaken that they would have to be?
Why have You forsaken Me?(Psalms22)
Glory, as Isaiah 53 teaches us. He was bruised, wounded, chastened and forsaken that we wouldn’t have to be. He was rejected and unwanted and misunderstood and misrepresented that we could be clothed in His righteousness. He, who knew no sin, became sin for us, when the Father laid upon Him the iniquity of us all, that He could graciously impute His righteousness upon us, who knew absolutely nothing of righteousness. He did for us what we could never do for ourselves... nor would’ve never wanted done without His grace and goodness making it know to us.
Therefore, I must ask again? Who shall not... fear Him and glorify His name? Who is exempt from needing to giving place, priority, purpose, passion and praise unto the Lord, who is utterly unlike all others? No one!!! Who then will go declare His life, love and light? Was He forsaken for you, that you wouldn’t be? Was He forsaken for you, that you could give your life to Him and His message of mercy and grace?
