I can honestly say that I am thankful for many things. I’m thankful for the life that the Lord has given me to live. I am thankful for the family that He has given me to live it with. I am thankful for the health of my wife and children. I’m thankful for the many provisions that our Lord so kindly and generously gives to us. Above all, I’m thankful for the life and death of our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself to redeem us from our sin, and deliver us from the wrath to come. And along with all of that, I honestly say with the apostle Paul to this congregation: “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” (Philippians 1:3-6)
