“Many, O LORD my God, are Thy wonderful works which Thou hast done, and Thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto Thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered." Psalm 40:5

Looking to Christ Alone!
"But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." (Hebrews 11:6) Faith is necessary for salvation. But we do not look to our faith to save us; rather, in faith, we look to Christ. Repentance is necessary for salvation. But we do not look to our repentance to save us; rather, in repentance, we turn to Christ. There are graces, which God works in us as He saves us. But these graces are never to be the object of our trust, confidence or hopeful gaze. All the graces God gives us in salvation are to be used to look to, turn to, appreciate, and lay hold of Christ, who is our Salvation! --Copied

Upon the High and Sovereign Throne
Words: Gary Shepard Tune: Doxology
1. Upon the high and sovereign throne,
Sits One who by Himself alone,
Has purged our sins and gone on high,
That those in Him should never die.
2. There at the right hand ever nigh,
Of that great Majesty on high
Amidst the creatures crying loud,
Almighty God in flesh there crowned.
3. Is this the One who just before,
Our sins in His own body bore,
There justly dying in our place,
For all the chosen of His grace?
4. Yes, it is He, the King of kings,
A full salvation now He brings;
The Victor, He now sits at rest
Forever all our Righteousness
5. And only those He makes to see,
Salvation by His cross made free;
Can see in Him by all expressed,
God's grace that reigns through righteousness.

A Great Wonder!
Here is a great wonder. God is high and holy, and yet the higher a man lifts up himself, the farther he is from God; and the lower a man humbles himself, the nearer he is to God. "For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a humble and contrite spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones" (Isaiah 57:15). -- Thomas Brooks

A Flawless Righteousness
We must have a righteousness in which Jehovah Himself cannot find a flaw, a righteousness which Jehovah cannot mend, a righteousness which neither sin nor Satan can mar; and unless we have on a righteousness of this nature, we can never enter into the blessedness of the world to come. Where, then, are we to find it? Eternal praises to the matchless mercy of a covenant God, we have it in the blessed Person, glorious work, and spotless obedience of the Lord Jesus Christ! --William Gadsby

In Another's Righteousness!
In another's righteousness we stand, and by another's righteousness we are justified. All accusations against us, founded upon our unrighteousness, we answer by pointing to the perfection of the righteousness which covers us from head to foot, in virtue of which we are unassailable by law as well as shielded from wrath.
"Thy work alone, O Christ, Can ease this weight of sin;
Thy blood alone, O Lamb of God, Can give me peace within.
Thy love to me, O God, Not mine, O Lord, to Thee,
Can rid me of this dark unrest, And set my spirit free."
