I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech. Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them. Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings.
Psalm 17:6-8
"CHRIST IS ALL"
Colossians 3:11
He is the first cause and the last end of all things, in election, salvation, redemption, calling, righteousness, regeneration, and glorification. He is all in the salvation of His people. Salvation is of the Lord. He is all in election; we are chosen in Him, He is the Elect (Isaiah 42:1). He is all in redemption; He obtained it with His own blood (Heb. 9:12). Christ is all in our calling; He called us with a holy calling (2 Tim. 2:9). Jesus Christ is all our righteousness: He worked it out for us as our advocate (1 John 2:1). He is all in our regeneration; He quickened us when we were dead in sin (Eph. 2:1). He is all in our final glorification; "He raised us up together and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus," (Eph. 2:6). All our spiritual blessings are in Him and from Him (1 Cor. 1:30). Pastor Don Bell
Think on These Things
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things” (Philippians 4:8).
Whatsoever things are TRUE – agreeable to the truth in Christ Jesus, the gospel, and the Word of God.
Whatsoever things are HONEST – honest in the sight of God and men, honest in business, speech, and conduct.
Whatsoever things are JUST – Christ is the Just One, enabling God to be just and justifier; but our thoughts should also be concerned with justice for the oppressed.
Whatsoever things are PURE – pure in word and deed, in opposition to carnality, vulgarity, and lust.
Whatsoever things are HOLY – agreeable to the character of God and His kingdom, the things which promote unbroken fellowship with God in Christ.
Whatsoever things are LOVELY – these are faith, joy, love, and all the fruits of the Spirit.
Whatsoever things are of GOOD REPORT – things that contribute to faith, a good name, a good reputation, and unity of purpose.
If anything is virtuous and worthy of praise, THINK on it, for “as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he!”

Caleb Wholly Followed The Lord
“And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children’s for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the LORD my God” (Joshua 14:9).
This marvelous statement about Caleb is found in the word of the Lord three times in this chapter; verse 8, 9, 14. Caleb is not boasting out of pride but rather humbled by the Lord’s grace to only repeat what the Lord said of him in Numbers 14:24; “But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.”
Caleb indeed was faithful to the Lord, heartily followed the Lord forty years through the wilderness journey and went to war with Joshua to rid the land of Canaan of the enemies of the Lord. Even in his old age, when he was 85 years old still ready and willing to fight the good fight of faith. “And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old. As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in” (Joshua 14:10-11).
May the Lord be pleased to make us like Caleb; willing to follow the Lord fully, wholly and completely all the days of our life (John 10:27-30). To make us faithful to the Lord, to be persistently willing to fight the good fight of faith and take a bold and public stand for the gospel of Christ (1 Tim. 6:12; 2 Tim. 4:7). To continually lift up the name of the Lord Jesus Christ especially in this day when the gospel is denied (2 Tim. 3:5). May we be blessed at all times to live by faith (Rom. 1:17), to continuously walk by faith (2 Cor. 5:7) and by His grace to die in faith, relying totally upon the Lord Jesus Christ for all our salvation (Heb. 11:13).
