Continue to pray for both Sarah and Debbie as they look for work after their courses.
Please pray for the church officers as they consider the Lord’s work on Tuesday evening
For Local Area:
Wandsworth
1 Outreach in the summer. Wandsworth in conjunction with Twynholme Baptist Church is planning to host a Canadian Youth Outreach Team who will assist the Church in our outreach programme to mainly the young people in the community. We are hoping they will also be able to assist us with our Holiday Bible Club. Please pray that the teams presentation of the Gospel will have an impact on the community.
2 In September the Church is preparing to join with some of the central Wandsworth Churches to run our third community outreach bbq in the High Street. Please pray that as many hear the Gospel presented to them that The Lord Will Bring His People into the Church through this community outreach.
3 That the after-school care group currently running in the Church (Little Smurfs) will become more established and that opportunities for us to Present the Gospel to the local community will grow out of this project.
4 Please continue to pray that the Church will see fruit from the Friday Evening Youth Clubs. Please pray for the three teenagers who were Baptised earlier this year and for the new members joining the Church at this time that the Lord will raise up a new generation of leaders through this work. Special prayer is asked for the Friday night Impact Group as they move on from Christianity Explained to a book study in Ruth.
For Wider Area:
News from Ted Tweet – Missionary to Honduras, C.A.
The work of the Lord continues to march right along in the Sovereign God Baptist Church in San Pedro Sula, where we hold services on Sundays and Thursdays. The second and fourth Saturdays of the month, we have begun a young people's class in the afternoon, and are beginning with a 12-lesson study of Christian virtues.
A couple times a month, we go to the mission in Jesus de Otoro. We are rejoicing to see some growth in attendance, with new visitors and also some of those who had been disciplined coming back again as well. One young man made a profession of faith this past week, for which we thank the Lord, and we trust that he will enjoy his new found faith in Christ as a new child of God.
During this month, I was able to re-wire part of the mission building in Jes's de Otoro for new lighting. The voltage is so low because of the great load on the transformer. It serves at least 400 homes and we are on the far side of it. I had to change the two tube-type fluorescent 80 watt fixtures to five small screw type fluorescent fixtures. It works! Praise the Lord! The others lights would be strong through the singing service and then shut off, but the new ones work through the whole service!
The third Sunday of the month, I have arranged to be gone, in order to preach in the sister churches. This time, on Saturday evening, I preached in Lis Lis, and the members of the Balfate church and mission in Limeras came as well. We stayed overnight in La Ceiba and had a good visit with our members there. Sunday morning we returned to the same general area to once again proclaim the precious Word of God, this time in Balfate.
The mission group from Limeras and the Lis Lis church met together in Balfate to hear the message from the Lord. The Lord gave me perfect peace and liberty to proclaim His Word, which we trust touched the hearts of many souls. We hope and pray that it will bring about lasting results.
