I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works. I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High. Psalm 9:1-2
A New Creature In Christ
The Apostle said, “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.” The grace of God and love for Christ throbs in a man’s pulse; it looks out of his eyes; it lights up his countenance; it softens his touch; it mellows his voice; it bows his head; it bends his knee; it opens his hand; it curbs his tongue; it humbles his heart; it orders his steps; it gives him a hearing ear, a forgiving spirit, and a lasting peace.
Who, but God, can accomplish such a work? We are indeed His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works (Eph. 2:10)!
Pastor Henry T. Mahan
“For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God” (Romans 10:3).
It is not for ignorance, as such, that the Jews were condemned. If that were so, a simple theology lesson would have brought them salvation. Rather, it was what their ignorance led them to do that sealed their doom: they would not submit to the righteousness of God revealed in Jesus Christ. It is certain that if a man is ignorant of the righteousness of God, he cannot and will not submit to it. But it is also true that a man may be fully aware of the righteousness of God as revealed in the Gospel doctrine yet not submit to it. So subtle is Satan and so deceptive the human heart that one may actually think that his acknowledgement of the righteousness of God is his righteousness: He may think that, because he believes the doctrine, and even publicly defends it, God accepts him. It is one thing to submit to a doctrine, it is another thing altogether to submit to Jesus Christ as one’s only righteousness before God.
How can we know whether we have gone, not only from ignorance to knowledge, but also from knowledge to submission? It is primarily revealed in this: we cease from establishing our own righteousness before God. We glory in nothing other than Christ’s cross, soothe our conscience with nothing but His blood, and rest our hope for favor with God on nothing other than Christ’s acceptance before the Father.

LEARNING CHRIST
In the few years I have been preaching there is one thing I have learned, it is this, we can never say enough, preach enough, think enough, exalt enough, Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our Master told us to “take my yoke upon you and learn of me.” Beloved what a glorious task, Our Lord Jesus gave us. There is so much to learn about His person.
How much do we know about His person as The Eternal God? Oh, the glory of His Godhead. How could he be both God the Son and be God the everlasting Father?
How could He remain God, control all things, uphold all things by the word of His power and yet at one and the same time come into this world He created, and come into the womb of a virgin, and become something He never was before, Man?
But Oh WHAT A MAN! Sinless in His thoughts, sinless in His words, sinless in His deeds, without sin before the Holiness of God Almighty. So Glorious in His sinless life, that the heavens opened one day and God Himself spoke and said; “This is my Beloved Son in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.” I say Speak Lord, by your grace I will listen.
God helping us let us begin again to, learn of Him, take His yoke upon ourselves, learn of His meekness, His lowliness, there is rest for our souls in learning of Him.
The man who knows the most about Christ knows so little, the man who sees Christ the best will say “I see through a glass darkly.” Just because I know so little, doesn’t mean I’m going to stop learning, because I don’t see all I want too doesn’t mean I’m going to quit looking. Someday in the near future, you and I will see clearly what we now see so dimly. “We shall see Him as He is, and we shall be like him.” But our seeing and our knowing starts here. Do you know Him? Have you COME to Him? Are you learning of Him?
