Dear Prayer Warriors, I. The Packing Party for Nigeria Bibles and Bible study aids for pastors, Bible teachers and student workers will be sorted, labeled, boxed, weighed and sealed. We want to invite you to attend. There are three ways you can attend the packing party for Nigeria. A. First: You can attend – Below is the invitation we are sending out…
You are invited Friday April 13; 6:30 – 9 p.m. To a “Packing Party” For Our Nigerian Mission Trip At the Mahon Home (email me for directions) (Children are welcome)
There will be food, a time of prayer and we will be packing boxes to ship Bibles, Bible study aids and Bible reference books to Africa. We are in need of many hands to put together all the materials which have been donated. Please plan to come and join us in this labor of love. Your Loving Friends, John & Eleanor Mahon
B. Second: You can pray. God the Holy Spirit teaches in II Corinthians 1:11 that those who pray are equal laborers in the harvest fields as those who go. If you cannot attend physically, you can instead attend spiritually through your prayers. 2 Corinthians 1:11 “you also joining in helping us through your prayers, so that thanks may be given by many persons on our behalf for the favor bestowed on us through the prayers of many.” For this ministry we are including in this dispatch prayer requests and Bible verses you can pray over as you co-labor with us in Nigeria. C. Third: You can give. Again, God the Holy Spirit clearly teaches in III John 8 that those who give are equal in co-laborship with those who go. 3 John 8 “Therefore we ought to support such men, so that we may be fellow workers with the truth.” You can give monetarily by following the link on this dispatch. Others may want to give in a more tangible manner. Just open the attachment and you can pick out and have sent to us the actually study books which you would like the pastors to receive. They will each receive a Study Bible and a Pastor’s Study Library to go with it. Your gifts make this possible.
II. Lifting Up Jesus and Proclaiming His Holy Word As you pray, please claim Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” --that our witnessing, preaching and teaching would rest not upon the cleverness of man but on the empowering of the holy, eternal, inerrant written Word of God. That God’s Word would pierce the hearts of the hearers, bringing the lost to salvation and the Christians to a new, deeper relationship with their risen Savior.
III. Marriage and Family Conferences – It is not unusual for a pastor to tell me that he has been waiting for years for us to come to give our Marriage and Family Conference to his church. Your faith, prayers and sacrificial gifts make it possible for Nigerian couples in the church to hear the Word of God on this important subject. Claim John 17:17 “Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.” -- that God’s Word would transform a generation of Nigerian marriages and families.
IV. Training Pastors and Leaders Attached are just a few of the pictures of pastors and their wives who attend our pastors’ conference. It has grown from 30 to over 500. This is the future of Nigeria--God’s men, equipped with God’s Word, building up God’s church which will, in turn, transform the nation of Nigeria
V. Building Up the Church Supplying pastors, teachers and student workers with quality leather study Bibles, grounding marriages and families on the foundation of Christ in conformity to His holy Word, training the next generation of leaders in the church – this is the goal of Grace Community International. Your faith, your prayers and your sacrificial gifts make this ministry possible and we praise God for your colaborship with us in this great work.
I close this email, as always, with a deep and abiding thankfulness for your sacrificial and effectual prayers, which empower and drive this ministry ever forward in the cause of Christ.
By His mercy, II Corinthians 4:1 Rev. John S. Mahon Grace Community Int. -
Please allow me to close this dispatch with a hymn from my prayer notebook which has been especially meaningful to me... (Psalms 104:33-34 “I will sing to the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. Let my meditation be pleasing to Him; As for me, I shall be glad in the LORD.”)

(We are trusting in the power of Jesus name for our ministry in Nigeria) All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name All hail the power of Jesus’ name! Let angels prostate fall; Bring forth the royal diadem, and crown Him Lord of all; Bring for the royal diadem and crown Him Lord of all!
Ye chosen seed of Israel’s race, Ye ransomed from the fall; Hail Him who saves you by His grace and crown Him Lord of all; Hail Him who saves you by his grace and crown Him Lord of all.
Let every kindred, every tribe, on this terrestrial ball, To Him all majesty ascribe, and crown Him Lord of all; To Him all majesty ascribe and crown Him Lord of all.
O that with yonder sacred throng we at His feet may fall! We’ll join the everlasting song and crown Him Lord of all’; We’ll join the everlasting song, and crown Him Lord of all.
