"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth" (1 Timothy 4:1-3).
"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away" (2 Timothy 3:1-5).
Hot off the Internet press from World Net Daily is an article entitled:
Pastor: Idea Christ died for sins 'insane' Calls Easter message 'repulsive' -- makes 'God sound like a psychopath'
Rev. Jeffrey John, an openly gay minister from the Church of England, will be on BBC Radio 4 this Wednesday to refute the doctrine of penal substitution for sins. A quote from Jeffrey John in the WND article:
"In other words, Jesus took the rap and we got forgiven as long as we said we believed in him," said John. "This is repulsive as well as nonsensical. It makes God sound like a pyschopath. If a human behaved like this we'd say that they [sic] were a monster."
Apparently, this "pastor" needs to hear this message on the truth of eternal punishment! More wolves in sheep's clothing are manifested with even greater villany against the truth than ever before.
