I See Him
A true revelation of Christ will take care of some unpleasant things that we see. I see sin in myself but I also SEE HIM as my righteousness and sin offering! I see trial and sorrows everyday but I also SEE HIM caring for me and in His good providence working them all together for my good! I see death and judgment approaching but I also SEE HIM, my Justifier, my resurrection, and my life! I see friends and neighbors in darkness, ignorance, and unbelief, but I also SEE HIM who is able to save to the uttermost them that come to God by Him! I see Satan and the forces of evil seeking the destruction of Christ’s church but I also SEE HIM who is the conqueror of the prince of this world and remember His promise, “The gates of hell shall not prevail.”
My friends, if you can see Him, you will find that one sight will make amends for the dark things you see (I John 5:11-13)!

Thy People
“Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: Thy blessing is upon Thy people Selah” (Psalm 3:8).
Deliverance from the power and bondage of sin pertains to God alone. A believer has no expectation of saving himself and has no confidence in the power of his flesh. This is a blessing that comes only from the Lord and is said to be, “upon Thy people.”
What a sweet word of comfort to every regenerated sinner made to see something of his desperate need and desire to be named, ”Thy people;” His people in creation, in electing grace, in redemption by the blood of Christ, and by their willingness to come to Him, casting all their hope upon Him, in the day of His power. What a glorious blessing and name, “Thy people!”

JUST AS I AM
The religious world has robbed us of singing the song Just As I Am as often as we should by using the song as a way to draw people to the front of the church by playing on their emotions. They misuse the song but this is still the gospel cry, sinner come to Christ just as you are. Don’t try to clean yourself up and make yourself more presentable to God before you come to Christ. Come to Christ to be cleansed in His blood. Don’t try to get rid of some of your guilt before you come to Christ. Come just as you are in all of your guilt to be forgiven through the blood of Christ. Don’t try to patch up the filthy rags of your righteousness before you come to Christ. Get rid of your rags of righteousness altogether and come to Christ as a naked sinner to be clothed in His righteousness. Come to Christ just as you are without trying to make your situation better through anything you can do. Don’t you see that is just another way to trust in your own works? Just come to Christ as you are. Come dead to be given life. Come hungry to be filled. Come as a helpless sinner who needs an all-sufficient Savior.

"THERE IS NONE LIKE THAT; GIVE IT ME"
These are the words of David that are recorded in 1 Samuel 21:9. When David was on the run from king Saul, he came to the priest Ahimelech to find shelter, food and a weapon. David found food and shelter, yet the priest had no sword in the temple, except the sword that David used to take off Goliath's head. David knowing the soundness of that weapon said, "There is none like that; give it to me." I think we can make good use of that saying in reference to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
1). In regards to His WORD, "there is none like that; give it me." Consider who the Author is; "All scripture is given by inspiration of God" (2 Tim. 3:16). All other books are but man made at best. Consider its glorious subject, "To Him give all the prophets witness" (Acts 10:43). The written word powerfully gives testimony to the living Word, His person and work. Consider the effects of His Word; "Of His own will begat he us with the word of truth" (James 1:18). it is soul quickening (Eph. 2:1). It is heartwarming (Luke 24:32). It is a guide for our life (Psa. 119:104). Therefore I say, "There is none like that; give it to me." Give it to me that I may grow in grace (l Peter 2:2). Give it to me that I may see Jesus Christ as altogether lovely (Song Sol 5:16).
2). In regards to His SALVATION, "there is none like that; give it to me." Our salvation was totally purposed, purchased by Jesus Christ Himself (Acts 20:28). He appeared once in the end of the world to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself (Heb. 1:3; 9:26). There is no other atonement like the one Christ made (Heb. 10:17). There is no other righteousness like the one He provides for His elect (Rom. 4:6). Therefore I say, "There is none like that; give it to me." Give it to me that I may be justified (Rom. 3:24). Give it to me that I may be glorified (Rom. 8: 29-30).
3). In regards to FAITH, "there is none like that; give it to me." Without faith it is impossible to please God (Heb. 11:6). The just shall live by faith (Rom. 1:17). Saving faith is not a product of the creature; it is the sovereign gift of the Creator (Eph. 2:8-9). Therefore I say, "There is none like that; give it to me." Give it to me that I may believe God. Give it to me that I may walk by faith, not by sight. Give it to me that I may live upon His truth and rejoice in Christ Jesus alone (Phil. 3:3).
