Only One Salvation and It's Unconditional
By Scott Price Some "Primitive Baptists", not all, believe there are two salvations. One, they say, is eternal and the other, they say, is temporal. They say the eternal is already set and the elect have always been saved, that God may not even reveal himself to them in their lifetime and they will end up in heaven, not even knowing they were saved. The one that they call temporal is one where they believe the gospel (which "gospel" I'm not sure). They say this temporal one is "conditional", in that, it is conditioned on a person's believing.
There is only ONE salvation and it's unconditional. The promise of the gospel is that salvation is conditioned on Christ ALONE. Eternal life is knowing God and He gives His people, both, knowledge and understanding of who He is and what He has done. All the people of God come to Him the same way - the Holy Spirit regenerates them to believe the true gospel and they come to Christ by faith. Run from the lies of this made up doctrine promoted by the Fatalists, Hyper-Calvinists. It's dangerous!
