Un-Common Spirit Living Means Living As God's Dwelling Place (FTF-10)
"Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body." (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
The context surround the above passage is about the fact that as Spirit indwelt believers in Christ, we are to act set apart from the world. This passage mirrors Paul's teaching in Ephesians 3 where we are charged with the proper undertaking of the stewardship of our lives. Our lives are not our own, we were bought with a price - the price of the perfect God Man shedding His blood for us. That one act changes our lives and spurs us into action. The action of living the uncommon life of a temple for the Holy Spirit to dwell within.
